How are you Vitabros getting Tearaway?

I'm a little conflicted on whether I should go retail or digital. Digital's selling an already cheap game cheaper than retail and I'd get it a little before it releases here, but EB Games seems to be offering both pre-order DLC pacts there if you buy it and I do love my retail games.
Is there anyway the gold trophy for avalon pacts is bugged?

I did all the quests now this dammn thing didn't pop. SO Angry!!! Do I also have to do all forgotten pacts too? This guide does not says so.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/soul-sacrifice/198102-soul-sacrifice-trophy-guide-roadmap.html
I had a similar situation where the trophy notification for beating all envy avalon pacts didn't pop up tonight but when I went to my trophy list it was unlocked.

Hopefully it pops up for you sometime, it would suck to have to go through all that and not have the trophy unlock :(

I'll go retail, cute blue box > digital 01010101

It'll save space on my memory card and I can sell it if the game is bad.

What this is?

just the best PSP game ever.

i'm getting Tearaway digital with my $10 off

may have to wait, though... want to dig into SS a bunch first

i think Dangan Ronpa will be my first physical game. digital is the way to go 99% of the time, have all games on hand, super convenient to buy. but since i got my Ace Attorney trilogy back in the day, i have wanted a new VN series to collect.

I'll be buying this game digitally, buying Vita games in retail just feels so wrong. Plus it should (hopefully) be a few dollars cheaper digitally.

with Vita small and overpriced memory cards and PSN prices and slow ass Content Manager with it's lack of good and friendly backup options retail actually feel like the only sane way to buy Vita games.

Amazon, so retail. For 24 euros (free shipment day one if I preorder) I can go wrong with it. Plus it's the kind of game whose case I want to see when I look at my filled with books / games (more books than games) shelves :D

How are you Vitabros getting Tearaway?

Retail, they're offering both the DLC packs and a keyring in Australia for preordering retail =D

And I'm a sucker for being able to show off my stack of little blue boxes, since I didn't really have the chance for previous consoles (didn't have much money to buy games)

There are tons of reasons beyond that, and it seems like you didn't understand the overall story.

VLR is a direct sequel to 999. The timelines in the game happen on the same timelines as in 999.

1. The shirt-hating Alice in VLR is the exact same person as the one seen in the final scene of the 999 true ending. She was cryogenically frozen along with Clover, who is also the exact same person from 999's true end timeline.

2. Junpei and Akane are also the same people from 999, and provide one of the game's biggest reveals, which is wasted without playing 999, and is integral to making character motives make sense when Clover/Alice realize it in the game.

3. In 999 there are tons of easter egg references to VLR, including conversations about the freezing technology used on Alice/Clover, as well as Sigma/Phi's "space travel" ability, and even VLR's timeline jumping menu is mentioned, along with the rabbit. Who's to say there aren't more in there for ZE3 that we don't know about yet?

4. Aside from easter egg references, there are also VITAL references to VLR in 999. Free The Soul are never mentioned in 999 but when you find Snake in the coffin in 999, he wakes up wearing the exact same outfit that Free The Soul members in VLR wear, who are the organization that you are ultimately trying to stop in both VLR and the 3rd game according to Akane. This is one of the strongest connections that we don't know the consequences of yet, especially since Akane engineered the 999 game and wears one herself at the end of VLR.

5. In the final true end epilogue for VLR, Akane straight up says the next game (Zero Escape 3) will take place between 999 and VLR, and it can be assumed both young Junpei and her will make an appearance considering how integral they are to the current plot (Akane has been the engineer behind the nonary games in both games so far).

6. Uchikoshi hinted on twitter a relationship between Phi and Santa from 999. Considering we don't know anything at all about her still, it'll be important to know who Santa is when her identity is resolved in ZE3.

7. Uchikoshi has already confirmed he'll be bringing at least one more 999 character back for the 3rd game (my guess is at least Snake and Santa). It'd just be plain confusing for people (as it apparently was for you with Alice) and be harder to follow the overall story without knowing the background of all the characters involved.

I'm probably forgetting other important stuff but you would have to read the VLR spoiler discussion threads since they uncovered tons of information. 999 is absolutely necessary to understand the 3-game series fully

1. I understood that-
her and Clover were frozen so that they could be brought into the future where young Sigma was residing in old Sigma's body.

2. Already knew this, if you haven't played the previous game you aren't missing too much though.

3. Yep, a few easter eggs, but they aren't anything too special and are usually mostly explained in VLR.

4. True, though I would hardly call that VITAL.

5. The third game will take place between the first and third, but there's no guarantee that we'll see those characters in it- that's more an assumption on your part than anything. I feel that the latter is more likely than the former, due to their role in each of the games so far.

6. Okay, but that doesn't mean it won't be fully explained in the next game, and understandable without a knowledge of the first game.

7. We still don't know how it'll be executed, so it could be done in a non-confusing way.
as for Alice, I'm not exactly confused about her, just confused about All-Ice- I know that she was in the true ending of 999 dressed up like All-Ice as an undercover agent, but she states that her car broke down before she could get anywhere, so she isn't All-Ice unless she was lying. Or she is, but the connection hasn't been established yet, or I really just missed something. Was All-Ice all just a setup to get Alice into the second nonary game, and All-Ice didn't really exist? Apparently you and BlueMaxima both know something that seemingly nobody else on the internet knows

Ok you like gurumin and i believe you when you say that it's a very good game, but stop with this hyperbole!
We are lucky that folklore is for ps3, if it was for psp/vita i bet he would spam us with "the best psp/vita game".

Long time ago i played gurumin for a pair of hours and while it seemed to be a good game it was not "just the best psp game ever" imo.
I tried folklore demo and while i liked the atmosphere, the characters etc i didn't like the gameplay.

Yes i said it.

I still haven't bought Spelunky on any Platform...

Should i get the Vita version then? Those of you that finished it, are the performance issues reason enough to grab the Steam version instead or is it totally playable and not nearly as annoying as some people have claimed?

hilarious that Sega is localizing & releasing such a creepy, niche title and it's fans still aren't pleased

no wonder we never got PSO

There are far creepier games than Hatsune Miku that have received a North American release. AFAIK the game's are pretty innocent.

Being old to JP, does not make the game not new, for the west. It wasn't released for Vita in NA territory. Thereby the game is new.

You could argue "PS3", sorry I don't own one.

Super Mario is timeless.

Why are we arguing that games are LESS GOOD solely by release date?

A good game is a good game, worthy of play. Regardless of age.

Age does matter when discussing a easily importable game on a region free platform. The Project Diva fanbase is niche, and given it's a long-running series that had never seen a localization prior to F it's safe to say they're familiar with importing games. Presumably a lot of people that wanted to play it already have.

I'm not criticizing the game's quality, but its sales potential. You're marketing this game to an audience that will primarily comprise of people that already own it on PS3, or worse off own the PS3 release, and imported the Vita one.

Gugurmin is an action adventure game in similar vein to Megaman Legends.

The humor and dialog is very good to boot.

The only creepy thing are those voices. I had a friend that loved them not too long ago and I only liked some of the covers (sung by actual people) she showed me.

I can stand vocaloid, but it's not the kind of thing that I'd like to listen. If the game is fun and not very expensive I may bite.

A Tearaway Keyring? I want it.

Does someone know if Amazon.es gives those preorder DLCs?

I'm actually struggling with this for every game.

All the retail titles I have so far have just been from PS+. I also recently ordered a 64 GB card. Sometimes I think of going all digital, but there's something about a tangible game that entices me.

I need to decide quick! I want to buy Killzone Mercenary, Tearaway, and Dragon's Crown

How is MotoGP 13 on Vita? Anyone got it?

reposting my post from july thread
""""so yeah, MotoGP 13 is actually good, R for acceleration is kinda weird but it's not a deal breaker, handling and weight shifting is pretty damn solid, physics is solid , the port is good, exceeded my expectations both graphically and performance wise (30 fps, don't struggle much) and is fully featured (GP, Championship, Career, multiplayer) I'm not sure if drivers or teams are missing since I don't follow the MotoGP like the rest of the world, no one care about motorbike racing, and it's is still a very very difficult game for new comers but yeah... the port is good."""

True, though I would hardly call that VITAL.
What if Snake is brother Left? We don't know. In a sense since ZE3 is not out yet we can't confirm for sure that this evidence is vital, but considering how intertwined 999 is with VLR and the setting for the 3rd game there's no reason to think it won't be relevant.

Already knew this, if you haven't played the previous game you aren't missing too much though.
You absolutely are.
Pretty much everyone in the VLR OT and myself included were going FFFFFFFFFFFFFF when we found out. Even JSchreier had the same reaction when he hit that point http://kotaku.com/5954173/one-warning-for-anyone-who-plans-to-play-virtues-last-reward
This alone proves my point that this kind of thing is ruined/wasted on people who didn't play 999 first.

Okay, but that doesn't mean it won't be fully explained in the next game, and understandable without a knowledge of the first game.
If it's fully explained in the next game, it'll probably be about as in-depth as VLR's explanations about 999, which is to say not much at all.

We still don't know how it'll be executed, so it could be done in a non-confusing way.
VLR has returning characters/story from 999 so by this logic ZE3 won't technically require having played VLR either. And you'd be right, because these games have to sell as standalone products to the general public so they are self-contained to a certain extent. You can enjoy VLR by itself as a first timer to the series because some explanations are provided. But
as the 999/VLR situation has already shown, you will be missing out on twists and reveals by doing so, and whether you like it or not the entire story is on one continuous "timeline" (loosely in this sense because of the nature of the plot). The 3 games are one whole story with the overall FTS plot having been revealed in VLR (though we don't even know that for sure thanks to Uchikoshi).

It's like watching the LotR or Harry Potter movies (not books) and a short summary of the previous movie's events are given in each movie or right before each previous-work-referring plot point/twist. They would still be entertaining on their own overall as a movie, but anyone would recommend watching the entire series. Although you could technically play each one individually, if a VLR-dependent plot twist (like Junpei -> Tenmyouji) happens in ZE3, it'll lack impact as it did for anyone who played VLR standalone because the entire twist from the setup to the reveal has to be explained to them in a short dialogue.

I'm not necessarily arguing that someone straight up won't understand VLR without playing 999. I'm saying it's necessary in the overall story arch because getting the previous game's story/setups through a short explanation in the next game is incredibly insufficient to the entire plot and as an experience.

Regarding ALL-ICE
, Alice may have been lying, but that's exactly the kind of plot twist and unanswered question that would be carried into ZE3. But someone playing ZE3 without playing 999 and VLR would likely feel the final explanation to be contrived since the entire plot surrounding her would have to be summarized in the game.

Box art you'll be missing out on!

Those PlayStation Vita ear buds fold up and fit quite nicely in my Vita case (the removable one from the Vita Pull 'N Go Folio). They fit right on top after I put in the Vita and then I can close the case's cover over them. Head phones are pretty much a requirement if you plan to do much gaming on the go like or on planes or whatnot. I'd be too afraid that I'd disturb those around me without them.

I picked up Diva F for the PS3 but wanted it for the Vita....I'll be grabbing this day one (would be nice to have a physical release though)

I'm a bit late to the PDf localization discussion a few pages back, but I wanted to say that people who complain about no physical are bonkers, this is definitely a game you want to have permanently installed on your Vita, so the "issue" of digital only is irrelevant.
The usual concerns about DRMed downloads apply.

Still waiting on Amazing Spiderman Vita gameplay....

:(

I want it, but need to see it in action to finalize whether its a purchase.

Injustice Vita releases Tuesday, PS4 on Friday and Tearaway, the following Tuesday. Stoked!

I'm seeing guys talking about getting back their credit. How did they send it to you? I haven't seen anything coming to my gmail account.

was the beta that good?

I might get it for my Nvidia Shield if there is an android version.

I actually only played it for a week or so and got tired of grinding hard for gold w/o paying... I don't like that there's no free alternative to arena mode with random deck survival, but it's just something I know I would play more with handheld convenience. I wouldn't even care that I was on a slow treadmill.

I do agree with you and BlueMaxima to a certain extent that playing 999 first enhances VLR, but I just don't feel that it's vital- I do get what you guys are trying to say though (I feel like my The Hobbit comparison works best, because the Hobbit is part of the setup for LoTR- though an issue with it is some of the major connections between the two aren't fully explained until The Silmarillion). If I hadn't played 999, then I would've missed out on the
Alice/All-Ice confusion (which for some reason I feel may be brought up again in the third game) among other things
so I'm glad I did.

AusGAF! Big W's doing a pretty amazing deal for the Vita next Saturday, November 9 (one day sale). System with Killzone for $188.

I mean, if you can even find a Big W that actually stocks Vita stuff that is.

Quoting you from 32 pages ago to thank you big time. My fiancee found a Big W with about a dozen vitas in stock yesterday, then woke up at 5:30 to be first through the door to secure one for me this morning. Now to find a memory card and start spelunking!
