First Cod is better on X1, even with FPS drops + 720p
Killzone is rated completely rubbish and out of contrast to every other review site, by a large fraction.
and WTF is this:

Debating switching to Battlefield 4, but I already opened the case from GS. Do you think they'll still let me return it?

Differnt games IMO. I'mm getting Killzone simply for the single player eye-candy and Battlefield for multiplayer.
Solid scores all around. Im happy
I really don't care about the score it's his opinion but it will be hilarious if he reviews ryse and gives it a 9
As one who only buys shooters for the MP, I want to know which is the best. I guess I'll have to wait for more MP reviews.Differnt games IMO. I'mm getting Killzone simply for the single player eye-candy and Battlefield for multiplayer.
In a year defined by really boring games like Tomb Raider, Ni No Kuni, God of War Ascension, Bioshock, Saints Row, Killzone Mercenary and Batman Blackgate (3ds/vita game) that's really saying something.
I think it's saying he needs to remember what came out this year.
Different, unrelated games can receive different scores? Scandalous.
Most of them were notoriously unexcited for the PS4 reveal back in Feb, and Justin McElroy had to bitchslap some sense into them:I had to turn off Polygon live stream, those dudes, smh.
What? The guy that got fired from Gamspot for giving an honest review? The guy that hasn't even posted a review yet of KZ Shadow Fall because they haven't had time to properly review the game? Gertsman is pretty trustworthy IMO. I don't care about Gies. Yeah, his Last of Us review was kind of suspect, but the guy has a right to an opinion even if you don't agree with it. His Sim City review is the reason I don't pay attention to him.
What were they saying???I had to turn off Polygon live stream, those dudes, smh.
If Ryse is as poorly made as some suggest, then why would it deserve a higher score?
DId anyone watch the Polygon stream when they started playing KZ:SF? There was no killing for the first five minutes or so, and they were constantly making stupid jokes and talking about how bored they were. "It's KILL ZONE, WHERE'S THE KILLING!?" I mean, my goodness, the intro was playing for about two minutes and Chris Plante was constantly like "YOU CAN'T SKIP IT?! THIS IS SO BORING!!!!!"
It was the most embarrassing thing I've seen in awhile. CONSTANT jokes about the game. And you know how people say you shouldn't judge to reviews written by different reviewers on the same site? Well, it must be a huge coincidence that all of the Polygon people that were talking about it acted just as apathetic towards it as Gies.
Fucking disgusting.Yeah... so why did Gies review KILLZONE: Shadow Fall again????
What were they saying???

So microsoft basically funded Polygon = A completely biased review site.....750k + made a documentary
http://pixelvolt.com/2013/11/13/killzone-shadow-fall-review/Killzone: Shadow Fall could disappoint fussier gamers with a few irritating platforming sequences throughout the game, or maybe its sometimes silly enemy AI, but these moments of imperfections never tarnish the experience as a whole. An incredible campaign is complemented by an improved multiplayer component, all infused with beautiful next-gen visuals. If youre looking for a day one purchase that shouldnt be missed, Shadow Fall is looking back at you. (Killzone: Shadow Fall, PS4) 9.5/10
Wow that's pretty bad...DId anyone watch the Polygon stream when they started playing KZ:SF? GB will give it a 3 or 4.We really need to stop talking about Polygon, they aren't the only site that gave the game an average/bad review, and they're certainly getting more attention that they deserve.
I wouldn't be surprised if Giant Bomb slaps a 2/5 on the game.
Oh Gies reviewed KZ?
Really not a fan of his?
I haven't read this thread, but can anyone say how long the SP campaign is?
Anybody want to list the most divisive game reviewers of all time? I would nominate Jeff Gertsmann onto the list, and I see Gies would get some nominations. Really, don't give these guys (and I'm being nice) the power. They don't deserve it and you'd be doing yourself a disservice.
I was watching it, and it wasn't that bad. They were actually being kinder to it than I expected after seeing their review. Game looks really nice imo, can't wait for it.DId anyone watch the Polygon stream when they started playing KZ:SF? I'm saying it deserves to be assessed independent of what unrelated games are scored at.
Gametrailers said 12-15 hours in their review.
I'm saying it deserves to be assessed independent of what unrelated games are scored at. Hence why I said "Different, unrelated games can receive different scores? Scandalous" in response to someone upset at the idea of an action game potentially being rated higher than a first-person shooter.
It's sad how unprofessional and worthless Polygon is. I'm not even saying that because of this one review. Look at their past reviews for arguably excellent Sony 1st Party games and the big multiplatform games. Look at the behaviors that people in this thread witnessed from the stream of Killzone SF. That website is a joke and of their staff is a joke. I'd trust ******** more than Polygon at this point, lol.
I can't say I'm surprised with the scores, the series has always been forgettable.
Is Gies and his 5/10 the 2013 edition of Jeff Gerstmann giving Twilight Princess a 8.8??
