Sorry for the low quality, the only camera I have access to is my Vita.

Edit: I just realized that I lost my PS2 controller... I think I left it at my friends house when I went over to play Guilty Gear.

I hope you guys like it! Sorry for the bad quality photos. All pictures were taken with an HTC One.

What are you using for the blue light behind your furniture? Is that the diode (spelling???) lights from Ikea?
*** Nevermind.. I see it from a post further down.

can you share where that desk is from? i'm looking for a new desk for my office instead of an old cart

I think i got it from office max a few years ago. i looked through there ads the other day for black friday and they had a lot of nice l shaped desks

Except for looking cool, what's the benefit of having a light behind the TV? Does it make it easier on the eyes?

I would say it has to be just a cool visual effect... But I have a question for you. So the coffee table you have... From Ikea?
Is there away to get shorter legs on it. Really like the style, but I am gonna be sitting on a Ben bag (actually it is a 7.5 foot lounger comfy sack) and I don't want it over my line of site.

Oddly lit and everything looks a bit small, but you get the idea. Those with keen eyes will also notice that I pulled out my launch day original XBOX and hooked it up in celebration of the XBO's release. Old piece of crap still works like a champ. I own a great many consoles beyond this, but they're all packed away.

I plan on a significant upgrade when I purchase a new house in a year or so. I'd like to have a dedicated gaming room with multiple TVs, a separate full theater, and a few other super-duper A/V things that aren't really game related (unless I'm listening to game soundtracks or something).

A portion of my games, and all of my weird cartoons.

Nothing amazing. I have a 55" LG with my Onlive microconsole on top then my Xbox 360, PS4, and Xbox One on the bottom. I'll be getting a Wii U soon so I might have to switch things around.

It's 100% for your eyes at night when all the other lights are off, not because it looks cool.
Look up bias lighting.
I use Ideal-Lume. Probably the best part of my setup. Helps my eyes so much.

I swear it does wonders for the contrast. That blue/grey-ish tone in dark scenes (which should be black) is less apparent for me.

And easier on the eyes of course. I can't watch/play for long in a dark room or I feel like I want to pull my eyes out.

Nothing special but I like it. Those pictures were taken in the Summer and we already did some minor changes.

Honest answer here: I think you can just use a saw to shorten the legs. Most Ikea furniture is a cheap wood, I've seen some people "hack" (double meaning, eh?) tables by sawing the legs.
I'm not an artist but why do you ask? Is it something about the furniture?

Probably the poseable figure above the cabinet.

What keyboard is that?

As far as I remember, I've never posted in a gaming setup thread before, but there's a first time for everything, so! This is my current living room setup. We recently moved into a bigger apartment and are still in the middle of the arduous process of ordering (custom) furniture, which is why the majority of gaming-related (and other) possessions is still (and might remain) in boxes somewhere in the corners or under the bed. I guess I will post a status update to next year's thread.

(Click for larger pictures.)

View from the couch.

Close-up of the computer table.

Finally, a peek inside the drawers of the TV stand. The top one houses some of my daughter's favorite DVDs and CDs, as well as some of my favorite box sets. The bottom one is for BluRays and PS3 games. The wireless XB360 controller is paired with the PC. There's also a DualShock 3 in there somewhere.

I have some hopeful future plans for the small space on top of the amp (on the top shelf of the TV stand), because it seems to be curiously WiiU-proportioned (coincidentally the only this-gen console I'm currently interested in). :) I also recognise that my current keyboard is maybe not optimal for games requiring manual dexterity (but is wonderfully handy for remotely manipulating XBMC controls from the couch). So there's room for improvement, but it's a nice problem to have.

I really, really like the look of your computer chair. Who makes it and is it comfortable?
It's an Okamura Luce. Me and my wife are of fairly different heights and builds and for the longest time we were looking for an office chair that offers maximum adjustability for as little actual adjustment, i.e. pulling on levers and moving different parts around, as possible.

This chair fits the bill well, as almost the entire mechanism is automatic and contained within the body of the chair, so there's almost no protruding levers (apart from the lever for simple height adjustment of the leg). It also means that the chair is unusually light for its type. The always flexible (up to an angle of 15 degrees) back offers good support for the lower back without ever allowing you to become lazy and just slouch for long periods of time.

So yes, it's real comfortable, but also weirdly strict in the way it forces you to sit in an ergonomic fashion. Overall, I'm really happy with it.

Man, I'm going to need to enlist this thread's help when I move in about a year. I have no idea what I'm going to do for a setup.
