I Will support Juventas in his absence. Who can they draw in the last 16? Where do I get my Pirlo jersey?

Everyone from "Bombo 1" except Napoli and Florentina.

Swansea-Juventus can happen, right? That'd be cool.

Not really. Neither of them are top seeded.

Kagawa denies overeating was the cause of his illness.

"Well, it wasn't flu. No, I wasn't vomiting, I was just not feeling well. Due to overeating? No, that rumor is false."

Kagawa comments on Shakhtar match, team's woes, and the need to support Moyes
SOURCE: Sportiva

"They were pressing (our midfield) 1-on-1, so in the first half I couldn't receive the ball in areas I preferred, and had to dip back. In the prior game (Newcastle), we weren't able to create rhythm when we had possession, so I was intent on settling the ball to create our own rhythm. In the first half, I consciously went deep to collect the ball, and tried to build up from there, but it didn't work as well as I'd hoped.

It was very hard to control the flow of the game. I think having lost two games in a row, each and every one of us was struggling from a lack of confidence. In that sense it was important that we won the game. Of course, there are many issues that need addressing, but first things first, we needed the result, we needed to win. The back to back losses hurt badly. It hurt us mentally.

Mentally, we're fighting a hard hard battle, but I tell myself to embrace and enjoy this situation. Personally, this kind of experience is something I definitely need. Fighting through at a tough level and tough environment will only make me grow as a footballer. It's painful when the results aren't coming, but I'll just try to stay positive.

It's hard to explain (the lack of confidence). We do have a lot of very experienced players, big names, and we're struggling this badly. It might be the first time I've experienced this after coming to Europe. In a sense, things worked out too well at Dortmund. Here, it's trial and error. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. Sometimes it's bad, sometimes it's good. When we're in a good groove, the important thing is to maintain consistency, and stay on top of our game. Now we're in a bad rut, and the important thing is to not lose focus. We have a new manager, and in my opinion, it's vital that we all as a team, get behind him and all follow his lead in one direction."

The Telegraph say United could swap Hernandez for Inter's Guarin.

I haven't seen him play but somehow this strikes me as a bad idea.

I'd rather we kept Hernandez and went after someone like Fernando who is in the last year of his contract at Porto.

We all know is not going to happen, and you really don't need Chichacunt
he would be the starting striker at Inter

Guarín may not be quite world class, but he's better than keep pretending Cleverly is a great player

Been to Westfield casino wit work for a piss up. Tipsy on the brandy. Excuse with typing.

Send him to Chelsea already. I had such big plans for Rooney in my fantasy team. He's ruined everything including my chances this year.

God what a cock.

Man utd should have the midfield problem of Spurs or Arsenal.
Young, Nani, Giggs, Rooney shoukd have been sold or retired.

£8m - £12m for Young.
Retire Giggs.
Nani for £11m
Rooney to PSG/Chelsea for £45m

The fate of this thread is just another side effect of the Premier League killing football.

Only Moyes can save us now.

last time it was like this, Red Scarlet took a personal interest in the football thread.

Wonder if the football thread website is still going strong?
