I have no idea what I'm doing

I'll jump on the idea of it being re-branded as AssCreed. I've been making fun of it for looking exactly like AC since they showed gameplay anyway.

Seems weird I bet it is just a mistake.

"Your honour, here's what happened.

Our CEO was walking around with a pen is his hand, and he just slipped on a banana peel. He just so happened to fall pen first on a express abandonment request for our big new franchise, we had printed out one as an early April fools joke for the dev team.

As luck has it, his body was on a peculiar trajectory of motion that caused his pen hand to circulate on the precise path of his signature, on the dotted line of all places.

Before we knew it, a breeze of wind flew the paper out of the office window and straight into the mail box.

It was the oddest thing."

If I remember correctly, there's an email specifying a relation (Abstergo subsidiary) to the company, ctOS/Blume, that acts as the antagonist in Watch_Dogs. It's essentially a detailed report about the surveillance systems and what not.

It's a brochure for cTOS from Blume. One character mentions that he and the CEO of Abstergo could swing by and check it out while they're in Chicago for a shareholders meeting, but the two companies have no relation. cTOS starts out as fairly standard surveillance. Blume is just trying to get companies to install it in their offices.

Really now, re-naming this to Assassin's Creed should surprise nobody. Ubisoft is a shit company.

I wanted to dominate the living room. Then I took an ESRAM in the knee.

I have zero idea what all of this means, but this file doesn't look canceled.

I chortled while drinking water. Good sir, you owe me a hanky to dry off with.

A name change would be pretty fucked up seeing as there are a number of suppliers sitting on Watch Dog merchandise that was shipped before the game was delayed.

That precedes the express abandonment. And yeah, not all trademarks have been abandoned, only one.

It's weird if they're going to rebrand it as an Assassin's Creed title. Maybe it's about the underscore or something. If they change the name, least it won't be be called Gunpoint either way. ;)

If they really want to "revitalize" the AC franchise by making watch dogs ACV consider it futile cause they just kinda screwed both of the IPs. Though there were similarities they were still pretty different games.

Thats ridiculous. Who walks around with a pen in their hand?

Batteries the CRISIS!
As Watch_Dogs, this game has been a Day 1 for me for about a year.

As yet another Assassin's Creed, this game will have no chance in hell of being bought by me.

I have been getting bad mojo vibes from this game for awhile now. Hopefully it is just a name change and they do something with it that can recapture my interest.

It won't get cancelled, and if it does, it would be a record or something for a late full cancellation. This was supposed to be a launch bundle with consoles afterall.

But the gameplay looked boring as hell, and the "hacking" just looked like a similar mechanic to Bioshock Infinite (i.e., while shooting you click on stuff to make it change. In infinite, it would be Liz warping something in, in this game it's turning off lights or whatever)

So maybe this is getting some extended development time more than initially planned, and possibly a rebrand?

Why would you want a modern only AC?

The whole draw of the franchise is HISTORY!

They have even said time and time again, they won't do it.

Because people like different things?

I want one because I'm not really that thrilled by any of the historical settings they've done. I like the parkour/stealth gameplay but would prefer it in a modern setting. It's a shame they claim they won't ever do one, though I have my doubts about that.
