This is actually worrying. Are they still even trying to finalize specs at this stage?
This wasn't done overnight. This is something they clearly planned for, and that probably comes to them for free.

So what's the total Tflops now?
No! They play it save.Hey what if Sony finally came with a 900 Mhz GPU and 1.8 GHZ CPU ? they remained strangely silent during the past few weeks from hardware perspective.
This thread is LOL to the extreme. Its like MS can't do anything right. Over flowing with
C'mon seriously? That was not a shot - only you guys would think that. I was in a meeting on my phone, shot out a quick tweet. Srsly. .

Sony haven't announced the CPU speed, as people have noted. Plus - when I take a pot-shot at the competition I'm gonna be way more obvious than that. I'm not a fan of the passive-aggressive.
As I'm sure you've figured out - you don't announce something like this at the same time you're working on it. Obviously this has been in the works, but now that we're in full production we felt OK about announcing it.
Devs should start seeing this soon - so any performance gains were happening on the 1.6 boxes. (everything at PAX was on the 1.6). This is a boost to developers on top of the optimizations going on.
Lastly - can I PLEASE finally get you over this "we're having production issues" thing that's going around? We increased the GPU 6%. We increased the CPU almost 10%. We have been showing retail boxes. We are now in full production.
If at this point these facts don't outweigh random rumors...

That was Thuway.its creepy how this could lend some reality to what cboat or whoever said about a firmware speed boost on ps4 down the line
My bad it just read that way. I'm a pretty big Xbox One fan lol. Day One. Glad to see everything is shaping up nicely. Care to to elaborate on these optimizations?C'mon seriously? That was not a shot - only you guys would think that. I was in a meeting on my phone, shot out a quick tweet. Srsly.

60 FPS confirmed for all XBO games?
Then stop confusing yourself. Major Nelson NEVER stated the Xbox One he unboxed was an official Xbox One unit from production. Honestly, if you're confused by the sudden changes being made to a system that is still MONTHS away from release, maybe you should take a new approach when you hear gaming news, anything you hear regarding the Xbox One and it's changes isn't confirmed and can be changed at ANY moment, nothing is final till launch.*re-reads article*
This shit is so confusing
I thought Major Nelson had an unboxing like a month ago of the first official production Xbox One unit? Or was that just fake too?
I don't what to believe anymore Elios lol
Xbox One is finally (or might have been in) in production? Nice. Just hurry up and announce the date so I know which days to take off, Albert.C'mon seriously? That was not a shot - only you guys would think that. I was in a meeting on my phone, shot out a quick tweet. Srsly.

Hey Albert, that's hardly disproving the issues rumor. The rumor is specifically around ESRAM, the GPU and CPU clock upticks are nice but is not complementary to it. ;-)Lastly - can I PLEASE finally get you over this "we're having production issues" thing that's going around? I know .. ;-)How can it be ahead if they've just finished tweaking and testing the hardware for final clock speeds? Behind a decision to change clock speeds there are tons of stress tests on prototype units.
What they sent to FCC back in June (or whenever they sent it) isn't even the final thing and should be revised.
Don't be fooled by PR

Just imagine what the behind-the-scenes on Xbone book will be like .. AMAZING
Just a remaider, a little hot piece of lava is also on that silicon (eSRAM)

This is extremely miniscule for anyone wondering.
We also still don't have final CPU/GPU numbers for PS4 so Sony might have upped something a little bit too to make it a nice even 2TFlops.
Also pretty hilarious compared to that other dude people were reporting on about 1.9ghz CPU.
150.
That 150Mhz boost is not too shabby.
This thread is LOL to the extreme. Its like MS can't do anything right. Over flowing with
Still around 1.31 Tflops, CPU by itself is less than 20Gflops.
Has Dean said anything about doing one for the 180? I would loooove to read that!

Sir .. we may have found some room on the GPU side of things ..Has Dean said anything about doing one for the 180? I would loooove to read that!
The one they announced at Hot chips? They could be yielding x chips at 800 or 853 and not y.What clock speed do you think the eSRAM is running at?
The gpu too. A 900-1000 Mhz clock on GCN is a cake walk but they're watching the thermals to avoid pumping out too much heat.
Maybe Sony will do like they did with PSP and unlock more MHz.

Have you seen the size of the the thing lol, pretty sure there's MS execs whose nightmares are filled RROD 360's. They won't want a repeat. Will this 150Mhz CPU boost increase result in increased heat? Not trying to troll, but my concern is that the Xbox One will suffer overheating like the 360. Should I stop worrying and learn to the love the xbone?
As per Major Nelson Xbone got FCC approval BEFORE PS4, so it's ahead. That's all you need to know.
eSRAM doesn't run hot. In fact, it runs comparatively cool. After all, only one line of the eSRAM can be active every clock cycle.
For all we know they've been testing it for a while... MS learned their lesson very hard this gen with the RROD. I don't think it will happen again.
After all, that's why the X1 is quite large. It has a really beefy cooling system that's also whisper quiet. That's why they were able to increase the GPU clock speed, and they apparently also felt confident in increasing the CPU clock speed now too.
Great news for my preorder. Nothing bad about getting a slightly better system!

So if you should get outsold by the competition this year "supply constraints" will not be a valid excuse - did I understand that correctly?
Sony PS4 dev kit FCC filing shows off extra ports, 2.75GHz max clock frequency
