Yeah I'm thinking something is wrong. I'm reading on the forums that some people are being prompted to dl a 17 GB patch. I cant decide if I should let this patch finish or just reinstall. I've already tried the verify/repair option on the settings, but it says there are 0 errors.

All i knew was that it was going to be an MMO that used DX10 rendering, and i was like "meh". here i am now, after watching vids and reading about it, wanting the collectors set and its price has doubled

It's because the only people on Amazon who have a copy now are REsellers. That's why there is a huge markup. When I preordered from Amazon 2-3 weeks ago, I only paid 78.99.

It was originally available directly from Amazon for $78.99 as Takeda Kenshi pointed out.

So after a couple more hours of playtime, I really have serious problems with the inventory and trading interfaces. They just plain suck. Blizzard was able to do much better interfaces with Diablo 2, whyc cant they just copy that? I hate it when a freaking chest armor takes the same slots as ring. Also, how come I cant make the chat channel of a solid color? While playing on the sand I just cant read what ppl are saying to me. The game certainly has its flaws.

UI flaws are the least of a MMO's concerns to be honest. I can't recall playing a MMO for more than a couple months where I didn't end up using a custom UI.
Now if you are talking about game design choices such as having generic 'armor' slots where you can use a ring or a chest piece. Well that would be a completely different animal. I haven't played it yet so I won't comment on that. I would expect all UI issues resolved fairly quickly though. Especially if there is a large userbase.

just bought it from futureshop in ottawa... i did the store pickup online so im not sure how many are left but they have CE. Like earlier posts if people want a buddy key i can probably supply 2 or 3 when they are activated.. drop me a pm if interested. can't wait to start playing!!
