This week's Famitsu is a must for Ace Attorney fans. The magazine has looks at two Ace Attorney games: Ace Attorney 5 and Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney.
For Ace Attorney 5, the magazine confirms the platform as 3DS and reveals that Phoenix Wright is the main character. He has a new partner, a mysterious girl in yellow clothing. This girl will be a central figure in the game .
Layton vs Ace Attorney got a major ad on the magazine's back cover. The ad itself is a puzzle which Tales Source, which picked up the magazine in advance, says appears to indicate a November 29 release date for the game.

Famitsu has a first look this week at a new Monster Hunter 4 weapon. MH4 adds a weapon called "Controllable Insect." This weapon involves commanding a "hunting insect" to get power ups from other monsters.
To use this new hunting companion, you mark a target monster. Release the insect, and it will head out to the monster and suck up its energy. Call the insect back, and you'll be able to use its bounty to strengthen your character.
The "energy" the insect sucks up is called "EX" (or possibly EXE). The property it strengthens is indicated by its color. White increases your speed. Red increases your attack strength. Green increases your vitality. Orange increases your defensive strength.

Start your hype machine, and set it to exactly one week! Famitsu is teasing an exclusive Capcom scoop for next week's issue. And not just any Capcom scoop. The magazine calls the scoop "amazing."
The scoop will be part of a special Capcom feature that also covers Resident Evil 6, DMC Devil May Cry, Lost Planet 2, EX Troopers and other titles.
Separate from the Capcom report, the magazine will also have a Level-5 new title feature. There's no teasing about new title reveals, so this may just cover Level-5's current in-development lineup.
The next issue of Famitsu officially hits on September 6, but info will likely leak out one day in advance (just like info from this week's issue is today).
