Apple Cuts Vision Pro Shipments as Demand Falls 'Sharply Beyond Expectations'

Warnen

Don't pass gaas, it is your Destiny!
Still use mine most days, best way to watch movies and shit. That said they desperately need a cheaper version. If they can iPad Air it and still keep it looking good. Take away all the glass shit on the outside. Save some money.

It puzzles me how the hell this company think they can move 700k of those when some random dudes from some gaming forum know that it is just ridiculous. Who are those managers!?

If this was a mature product I'd totally buy one for the price, but as a gen 1 it's going to see substantial upgrades each year (or two) which makes it a terrible investment. If they put some decent trade-in promise on the table maybe that would help.

The VP is an amazing piece of tech and what it allows in terms of spatial computing sets the bar for future products in the category.

We are seeing a lot of use with various clients in heavy industry. This was surprise considering the cost but the adoption rate has been very high and since Unity is a dev platform for the device, getting various large scale site reviews in place/up and running has been very straightforward.

Apple needs the consumer to adopt this hardware to be successful, no doubt, but this headset has been fantastic to work with on the industrial/corporate side of things.

How does this work for various clients in your industry? Do you scan each client's face to get the right size accessories (light seal cusions), and order custom optical inserts for those who wear prescription glasses? Like if you need to do a site review for 5 clients, you need to get measurements for all 5 and get everything ordered ahead of time?

The headsets are provisioned/maintained by various IT teams. There have been two/three headsets passed around a room at a time as each person review builds of sims or asset/model reviews to provide feedback.
