You wont have games to play.
If you wanna just talk big publishers, I'd still feel confident in saying you're wrong simply because of the existence of Valve.
You wont have games to play.
I already do, I don't buy Activision games.
So how do you then justify having a computer, clothing, and plastic goods?
They pulled plenty of crap this generation, but by far and large they simply aren't as hostile to consumers as companies like EA are. And frankly, that's making me warm up a bit more to them, though I likely won't be seriously anticipating non-Blizzard games of theirs. You mean the company that doesn't do online passes and on disc dlc?

I think it is HILARIOUS that salsashark is impassioned enough to write this thread about videogames; but there are companies on the planet that do much worse (detroy ecologies/skew the environemnt/take advantage of the poor) but VIDEOGAMES!!!
I'd like to see a thread in the OT that truly showcases the corporations you shouldn't support in any way shape or form.
Yeah exactly. I've been boycotting BP, BoA and AT&T for years because I think they're assholes.Well, this is a gaming message board right? And who is to say he isn't as passionate against all of the airlines, banks, cell phone giants, natural gas companies, etc that are out to screw people?
Usually a company I don't like implores practices or ideas into their games that I don't like, either.
I have not played a single game from EA or Activision since 2008. I think I'm doing good. The last EA game I really played was Dead Space, which bored me so much I never finished it.

The Saboteur. Blur.Yeah, I've managed pretty well so far with my EA/Acti hate. I have bought a couple games secondhand when I broke down, but it's not really that hard at the moment.
I wonder if people dedicated as much time, or even 10% as much time, to real problems in the world as this stuff, where we'd be...
People complain 10,000 times as much against, their cell phone company or, DLC, as they do govt corruption or people starving in africa.

OK, we get it, their customer service and policies suck, but their games are great. Sometimes you just have to dance with the devil to have a good time....
There are hundreds and thousands of other games on the market. Is there a particular reason why people have to buy EA games?
I've boycotted EA since 2001, and havent bought a single EA game since then. (snip)
The truth is I bought Dead Space and Mass Effect 2 & 3. (snip) Dead Space is an original IP from EA and is something im proud of owning.

So yes I will keep boycotting them!
