Larian Studios has delayed the physical edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 for consoles.

While the PC version has now begun shipping, meaning it’s hit its planned Q1 launch window, Larian said the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions have been held up by production issues.

“PC Deluxe Edition are now shipping, with console editions expected to begin shipping between April and May,” it said. “We wanted to get the console versions into the hands of players earlier, however, production issues have meant that shipping dates have been pushed back slightly.

I understand the point of this is that it’s playable right off the disc, but would owners of this version have access to the latest patches too assuming the console is online connected?
