We like this guy because he isn't doing the usual aloof leader bullshit.ehhhh maybe he really shouldn't be taking a stance on something as specific as this. seems weird to have the pm reference gamer gate.
I'm all for what Trudeau belives as our new PM but this is seriously an issue he needs to get his facts straight in. This isn't *JUST* an issue that affects women but everyone.

It's an Internet problem that isn't localized to any specific geographic location.
There's a gaffer who knows Trudeau, and who mentioned GAF to him once. So the PM knows of GAF to some extent.
maybe durante is trudeau
maybe durante is trudeau
Oh my god. Denis what are you doing.Guess who have something to say on this.
the guy is a pretty big geek from what I've read. That and he's young so it's not surprising if he's seen it around social mediaI'm amazed that the Prime Minister of Canada even knows what Gamergate is.
Are you saying durante is an anagram for trudeau if you flip the n upside down?
who are you then
So what does that have to do with specifically Canada?
What will the Prime Minister do on a problem that you say is an international problem?
Nothing to do because, I think, Canadian game studio culture doesn't face this problem.
Read the article. He used it as an example of misogyny in popular culture.ehhhh maybe he really shouldn't be taking a stance on something as specific as this. seems weird to have the pm reference gamer gate.
I legitimately do not understand what makes you think Canadian game studio culture differs so much from American game studio culture -- especially given there is a statement from someone who used to lead a very prominent Canadian game studio FOR GamerGate on the first page in this thread. So what does that have to do with specifically Canada?

October 21, 2015: A great day to be thinking about the future!
He's not that young, he's 43.

I'm not quite sure what he's saying. If he's saying down with Gamergate and the assholes who claim that banner under any circumstance, then by all means yes.
If he's saying that the government needs to get involved in monitoring in the content of gaming and what is allowed to be released, then by all means no.
He is saying "[gamergate] is something we need to stand clearly against".
Not really that ambiguous.
