Capcom registers Devil May Cry trademark

A Capcom game? The same Capcom that said it would reinvest all the profits from their most recent best selling title (Monster Hunter 4) into mobile development?

...You people realize this is going to be a mobile game, right?

Capcom seems at least somewhat aware of the backlash regarding DmC and its sales weren't exactly amazing, but Ninja Theory would make a sequel at the drop of a hat.

At the same time, a new Devil May Cry in the vein of the originals could be a great way to show off the new engine and try to win back some hearts.

This is to say nothing of the ever-present possibility of it being a social card game, pachislot, etc.

Is it just me or do "x developer registers y trademark" threads never seem to lead to anything?

That said, I would be interested in seeing DMC 5 or DmC 2.

The G&S basically means that it could be ANYTHING.

Don't get your hopes up. A regular dmc game wouldn't be in line with what they are going forward with in micro transactions / dlc and mobile.

Honestly I'd rather see what DmC devs could pump out in terms of visuals than the previous games. DmC had a really amazing looking world.

How was the last game? DmC? Thinking about buying it. Its only $19 now.

Gameplay is palatable, but the actual writing/story/etc is horrid. Level design and art design is okay. Characters are the worst I've seen in recent history.

Get it on PC. Other versions have horrible framerate dips below 30 and screen tearing (especially PS3)

Can't wait to see how the series is *bastardized for mobile, if only to feast on broken hearts.

*I would enjoy seeing a DMC5.

Honesty id Rather have ios DMC or ios action game from ninja theory and capcom than a sequel to the last action game from ninja theory and capcom. The first one was a painful enough embarrassment as is, another one would just be gag worthy.
