Five minutes of new Black Panther footage was screened by writer/director Ryan Coogler at a recent event during the U.S. Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's Annual Legisative Conference, reports The Root. Coogler offered it as part of a panel called "Imagining a Bigger World - Marvel's Black Panther, Cultural Heritage and STEM" organized by U.S. House Representative Val Demings - whose district includes Orlando's Walt Disney World and various other parks.

”They can't say yes if you don't ask," Demings said.

With reportedly "150 or so" people in attendance according to The Root, the panel was hosted by ESPN's Jay Harris and included Coogler, actor Danai Gurira, Disney's Head of Diversity and Outreach Belinda Frazier, executive producer Nate Moore, and Rick Loverd of the National Academy of Sciences.
