Is it just possible we could reclaim our democracy, in the United States, with a little help from celebrities like, Tom Cruise (to get the word out), by simply requiring our representatives to sign a pledge, to reject absolutely all campaign contributions (directly or indirectly), except for small donations from voters in their state or district?

Our Senators and Representatives would then be beholden to no one, except ourselves and hopefully vote accordingly, instead of, as at present, primarily doing the bidding of corporations and billionaires.

We would do our part by rejecting anyone who refuses to sign the pledge, which representatives could publicise in campaign ads etc (that they've signed up).

Edit: Yeah, I was aware Tom's Scientology central, but he made for a catchy title and I did say "celebrities like" .
