The second one is Kasumi and Leifang from DoA. So it's references its multi-tier levels and how you can knock a character off a high platform and they'll fall to the next level where you'll continue the fight.

The second picture with Lei-fang and Kasumi looks like a similar stage since DOA3 where you fight on these large mountain/pillars and you can throw people off the stage in DOA games.

Seeing those game characters against photo backgrounds reminds me of the fact that the biggest loss of the generations moving forward after the PS1 and PS2 era is the fact that more and more games became 3D whereas I really LOVED the old style of pre-rendered backgrounds like in RE REmake, FFVII-IX and the Onimusha games.

These old pre-rendered backgrounds had a lot more character than the generic 3D style of graphics imho.
