I just looked at Amazon, and all the lightning deals were crap. Snoozeworthy so far.
Yeah, the links I posted are probably full of a lot of junk. I hope we can use this thread just to point out the good ones.

Amazon still has the Droid line of Android phones for a penny, by the way:

Droid II: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003Y3BM0W/?tag=neogaf0e-20

Droid Pro (out of stock): http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004AM5AWM/?tag=neogaf0e-20

Droid X: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003UESOGA/?tag=neogaf0e-20

Droid Incredible: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003HC8NUW/?tag=neogaf0e-20

I tried the Droid X and it's showing up as $150 for me. Incredible looks like the only one available for a penny.

So to get these Android phones, you have to be eligible for an upgrade? It's not just a penny and I can go on my merry way?

I know this isn't specifically related to Cyber Monday, but wow, I was just surfing on Amazon and loads of games I've wanted are really cheap. Sin and Punishment 2 is $20, Muramasa $15, Assassin's Creed 2 $20... I don't know how many of these are sales or if my surprise is just a result of my lack of attention, but I see a huge drop in older game prices across the board.

Just picked up all three volumes of Animaniacs for $17 a pop, over on Amazon.

Didn't see a whole lot during my browsing, though. The video game deals are depressingly sparse.

Dunno. Deal is still up for me. It has to be with a 2-year contract, obviously.

EDIT: Blah. I took the picture away because I had the wrong phone (Droid II) added to my cart. Sorry.

It's $150 if you're a renewing customer and $60 if you're a new Verizon customer. Incredible is still $0.01 and Droid II is a penny for new customers, $60 for renewing.

Not sure how this compares to Amazon's normal price, but they have the Roku XD for $68:

Considering picking one up for my sister's boyfriend. Anyone have any thoughts on it/own it?

The Roku price has been around there since the new AppleTV was released.

I have both and if he has iTunes, just get him an AppleTV. It allows for streaming of all medi ain iTunes to your TV on top of playing Netflix through his TV. Roku has different "channels" which offer Netflix, internet radio, flickr, some paid premium content from UFC and MLB.tv. The issue is that the Roku box itself is slow, the UI doesn't allow for much in the ways of displaying information on the screen at a time which makes for a slow navigation process.

I own the original model. It's a simple, solid little piece of hardware, gives you access to services like Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu+ and Pandora on your TV, plus a growing list of dozens of other services. I'm thinking of taking advantage of this deal for at least two people.

Edit: lol, and now you have two opposing viewpoints.

Yeah, he has iTunes. I pointed the link to my sister and she said that it was a good idea and that if I didn't buy it for him, she would. I told her she can have it and I'll come up with something else.

I'll check in with her and see what she ended up buying. I did recommend the AppleTV after she mentioned that he has a lot of stuff on iTunes but also recommended the Roku for the different channels and music. Not sure where she'll end up with that, but I'll send your post along :D

Thanks!

I sent both to my sister :D Let her decide. On the other hand, my wife doesn't have iTunes and I'm thinking about picking one of these up for her for Christmas or her birthday.

Amazon has sports Champs for $20 in case someone has the camera. That way you only need 50 for the controller.

The deals have been decent for sure. I snagged NBA2k11 for 360 and PS3 for $30, some cheap ultimate ears earbuds for my sister at $30, Dollhouse on blu for $10 (for ebay), and BTTF Trilogy on blu for $25.

.....how?

Remove or change quantities...perhaps I didn't get as far as checkout, who knows. All I know is that I had it along with another item, removed it and added 2 different items.

No I mean why add something you don't want.

That looks pretty sweet. Does this work with their iOS app, do you know?
No you can't use the Marvel Digital Comics subscription on iOS.
WanderingWind said:
Does that Marvel deal allow for reading new comics or just a sparse selection of older books?
You can click on that picture it'll take you to the site and you can preview the selection yourself. You won't find many comics from the past couple years. It's mainly older comics but it's not sparse, there's a lot there to read for a comics enthusiast.

Somebody help me decide on a nice 32 inch TV for my mom. It will go in her bedroom.

Price is 150 difference, but if it's worth it, then I'll get the LG. Thanks GAF :D
Probably not worth it. My mom couldn't tell the difference between the HD and SD broadcasts until I pointed it out to her. And she still mostly watches the SD channels because she knows their numbers.

Lesson: old people mostly don't care about the picture quality.

For a 32" TV, you really wouldn't be able to tell the difference between 720p and 1080p

If you want to get LG, Amazon has a better deal I think:

So true. All she cares about is that it's a brand name. I was thinking Samsung/Sony/Sharp, but I didn't know what LG has to offer. I personally always go with Panasonic plasmas, but it would be too big for a bed room.

I know, it's so irritating. I'll sign up in a heartbeat when it does. Apple has supposedly resolved the subscription problem and are rolling it out in the next release, so I can't imagine Marvel will be far behind.

Thanks. Looks like I'll wait until they fix the iPad thing.

There's any good deals on Laptops right now? Preferrably one that can game on the side, WoW, but mainly be used for photo/video editing.

You have to work for a retailer than sells panasonic or some other company related to panasonic to get EPP. It's called the employee purchase program for a reason.

There was a technical issue why Marvel didn't offer subscription on iOS? I always thought it was a financial decision to try to milk more money out of iOS users by charging for individual issues.

Eh. Sort of. They don't seem to be terribly discriminating.
