Back in December, we got confirmed the "mob trials" (not sure they're called like that) will be back in Dai Gyakuten Saiban. The feature was also mentionned in Famitsu last week. And today, we have some screenshots for it.

Looks like they work the same way as in PLvsAA:

- testimony
- press a witness
- look for reactions from other witnesses with the slider
- press some more
- ???
- profits

Man the art style looks so cool, though I was hoping they would improve the questioning of witness(es) formula...

The mob trial system was an interesting addition to the Ace Attorney formula so it's nice to see it's return in this.
After watching the trailers and seeing the screenshots, I'm already becoming a fan of Ryūnosuke. He seems more lively and animated in comparison to Phoenix and Apollo.

I imagine capcom being all pumped about these new systems in vs layton and being all "ughh but level-5 is here go away so we can make our thing"

and now they did

Capcom, please localize this game. You don't need to include any contrivances. People actually know Japan exists. The main character can be from Japan.

Guess I'll post it here:

"The Great Ace Attorney details cross-examination

Cross-examine several witnesses at the same time.

Capcom has released new details and screenshots for The Great Ace Attorney, detailing the game’s courtroom cross-examination parts.

“Shake” the Witness

The prosecutor prepares a witness for the lawyer to interrogate. In this game’s court, several witnesses take the stand to testify together. Nonetheless, the lawyer is tasked with questioning them. Even if the testimony is without suspicion, shake the witness. When you “shake” the testimony, you can sometimes draw new details and information that supplement the evidence. In your pursuit for the truth, collect information as your weapon.

Quickly “Cross-Examine” Suspicious Reactions

In this game’s court, you’ll question multiple witnesses together. During the testimony, there may be a witness that reacts suspiciously. At this point, you must react quickly by switching over to the witness and cross-examining them. This might help you obtain a new testimony from a different witness.

Objection!

If you find a lie that contradicts the evidence, you can point out and thrust at the testimony. From here the truth will become clear. If you fail to thrust, the five marks in the upper right of the screen will decrease one by one. When all of them are gone, you’ll lose the case and be found “guilty.”

Questioning several witnesses together is new, that sounds interesting :)
"Shaking" the witness must be their way of saying pressing them.
