And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?

If you're visiting this |OT|, chances are that you've bought the Japanese version of the game. This version is fully in Japanese, which might come as a problem for most importers. For this reason, a subredit community called DarkSouls3JPN has been created and will greatly help you with the translation of the game. Other mediums of help should be available in this very thread, along with other various sites such as IGN and Gamespot.

Using Battle Skills

The newest addition to Dark Souls III is the ability to use unique battle skills that significantly changes the dynamic of the combat. These are called battle skills which consume the mana of your character. To do the following technique, you need to:

⃝ Equip the weapon of choice in your right hand to dual-hand mode (△ or Y-button)
⃝ Whilst wielding a weapon with two hands, press the L2 or LT-button to activate the battle skill
Dedicated Servers

Just like Scholar of the First Sin, Dark Souls III will support up to six players in online multiplayer, but this time around there will be dedicated servers instead of peer-to-peer connections. For the end user that basically means that connections will be smoother and there should be fewer issues joining games (Prime Games).
Enraged Bosses

It comes of as no surprise when bosses in previous Souls games transition from one phase to another - gaining a wide variety of different move sets. In Dark Souls III, they want the unpredictability and shake-up in routine to every boss. Some bosses might even have multiple phases and some bosses will force the player to engage in different environments.

Perfect timing, just finished the game, but need to go finish a couple optional areas still.

The last two bosses were just fantastic (
twin princes
and
soul of cinder
). Great atmosphere in both fights.

You don't need to be empathetic towards me.
OT should have been:

"Unable to summon phantom" or "Does not open from this side"

What's the best upgrade path for the Broadsword?

I've had it sitting at +3 for 20 hours now and it's still my favorite weapon. I'm thinking it could use an upgrade, however.

Good times. Man I don't know how people with little patience can play this game. Died in the same area over 10 times already. Never give up.

I'm using the broadsword as well. I infused it with raw though, and I kind of regret it. Didn't change it back because I was thinking of switching to another weapon soon, just not sure which one.

I'm doing a mostly STR build and have it as a Heavy +4 right now and it's doing me quite well. Thinking about switching to another weapon though just to try out different movesets.

I made it a heavy broadsword (+10), dumped a bunch of points into STR and had very little difficulty beating the game.

My experience has been great tonight! Crash, crash, cheap death, unable to summon x 34, waiting and waiting and waiting for summon signs to appear if they want to, got invaded by a buggy/laggy guy impossible to hit, crash, hey I've killed a boss.

Fun 3 hours.

So has anyone actually cleared the basement with the two
dragon salamanders in lower Anor Londo yet?

That shit seems actually impossible without a partner.

I did, you lure one in with a bow and kill them one by one.

You get a really nice ring from killing them. There's also a Covenant there and a Bonfire.

You can split them up. If you fire an arrow near the bottom of the ladder, only one of them should aggro. Also, like a lot of enemies who aren't armored, they're very vulnerable to bleed (and probably fire too, but I used a bleeding weapon).

What level were you guys when you beat A
ldrich
? I'm 45 and beyond that boss now. Not sure if I want to go any higher than that, I might do 50 just to top that off.

Killed one on first attempt, got invaded while trying to kill the other and died. Second time down there I killed the remaining enemy.

I was like 60 I think.

But I've been sunbroing bosses after I've killed them solo. Enjoy the co-op too much. :p

Is it normal for players I invade to have two buddies in their game? I tried 3 times to invade and each ended up fighting a gang of dudes.

Oh shit, we moved already. Cool. Not quite as fast as Bloodborne, but to be expected since so many people played the game a month ago.

Road of Sacrifices (near the giant crabs)
...I'm wandering around just minding my business when I got invaded by
Watchdogs of Farron: Fenrir.

Purple, seemingly phase shifting around - IMPOSSIBLE to kill.

Anyone else experienced this guy? Who is he? Human? NPC? Covenant?
Also i'm Hollowed x2 at the moment which I thought meant no invasions??

People you invade are already embered. Not too hard to believe they have people summoned as embered is a pre req for that.

I'm hearing people say that slower weapons might not be the best later in the game. I'm doing a Str build so I'm not focusing much on Dex, but what are some of the faster Str weapons in the game? I'm using the Claymore right now and I have it at +6. I like it but I'm looking for a more interesting weapon.

I also have another question about infusion. Since I'm only concerned with strength scaling for my character I'm planning on using Heavy infusion on my Claymore. Does it matter when I do this or can I do it at any time? I don't want to infuse it too early in the upgrade path and learn that I missed out on its true potential.

Thanks!

Why am I having such a hard time with trash mobs lol. Interest level is declining due to this. Bosses I've fought are easier.

Heavy-infused Dark Sword seems to be a popular choice.

I think that's a player. I got invaded by an npc there but it was obvious it was an npc.
