Wait, so fucking Warframe is gonna have more map variety than Destiny? And that's a F2P game. And it runs at 60 fps in PS4.
Hype seriously deflated.
I am fine with the content level. I'm still very excited for this game. I always viewed it in line with PSO, and that's exactly what I want.
People are really turning on this game fast. I though people were enjoying playing it. We don't know what the actual zones will cover and we don't know what Destiny's content schedule is like (dailies-updates-expansions-sequels)
Has Urk been in here yet?
Disagree. Bandit inhabitants, robot invaders, lots of aggressive animal life. BL2 doesn't feel as dead in the environments. Each zone has a purpose, style, and specific enemy types.
For his own sake, I hope he doesn't.
Were people thinking that a non subscription based FPS was gonna give you 150 hours of unique content??????
Borderlands can feel very lonely though when you play it on your own. I'm not sure why...
Destiny on the other hand is very social however I feel that kinda ruins the atmosphere at some points. Especially on the moon, I was quite enjoying that mission until some random person got matchmade with me and started dancing... Completely ruined the whole feel of the game :l

Man. Four zones. That is just...ROUGH to hear.
For perspective's sake, how many zones did BL2 have? I feel like there were quite a bit more, but maybe I'm mistaken.
Overpromising marketing aside, this is my only real complain about Destiny.
Where are the Fallen grunts carrying the scrounged equipment? The Fallen are structured in Houses, where are the banners marking each House? All these Fallen units need logistics, supply chains, why not have a specially defended enemy camp that acts as the area's logistic node, together with a small platform for vehicle landing and take off? Heck, make that a public event, interfering with their logistics chain - if it's failed the enemies get a boost, perhaps a fallen unit with a heavy weapon spawns in each camp.
It's just a bunch of static spawns.
The beta was more content for me than the 15 hour once and done campaign of Wolfenstein.

That's kinda my point.
So did we complete everything on Earth in the beta? Like...that's it?

The main issue I have is how terrible and short the story missions are. One area per planet wouldn't be too bad if the missions were actually unique and fun to play.
nevermind the ships dropping in all kinds of shit throughout the day
Ok, Im going to try this one more time.
All the people making this into an outrage; stop. Just fucking stop. This is not an outrage. Its not even close to one. You let your expectations go wild based on nothing; Bungie is not to blame. All we have ever seen in any trailer for Destiny was Reef ( Social ), Tower ( Social ), Mars, Venus, Earth ( Old Russia ), Moon and a single small snippet of Mercury ( Crucible ). Thats all. The Alpha reinforced that those were the only areas wed see ( one area per planet ) due to how the navigation was set up. If you expected anything more than that, Im sorry, but you yourself are the one to blame, not Bungie. All of these other areas were only present in the concept art from the initial reveal in which they talked about their ambitions for the Destiny franchise. Concept art. Nothing of that was confirmed for the full game ever.
Bungie didnt take stuff away from you, neither did Activision.
People in here claiming that they know what the final game will play like based on the beta also need to step back.
But the guns are so boring!;
Yes, of course, because we were limited to Common and Uncommon gear in the Beta.
But Old Russia is so boring!;
Yes, of course Old Russia gets boring when its the only thing you do for 20 hours straight. Everything is boring when you do it for 20 hours straight. You wont be stuck on Earth in the final game, youre free to constantly go somewhere else to make it feel fresh.
But theres nothing to do! The endgame sucks!;
Based off of what? The Beta? We were capped at 8 in the Beta, of course theres not much to do. Youre supposed to play through the whole story and reach level 20 to reach the endgame, not stop at level 8 and go to Old Russia all the time and playing only Control in the Crucible on just two maps.
But Ive already seen everything on old Russia and thats 25% of the game!;
No it fucking isnt. First of all, you havent seen all of Old Russia; There were three areas still blocked off ( Jovian Complex, Kings Watch, Seraphim Vault / Bunker RAS-3 ) and some guarded by lv. ?? enemies ( Grottoes, Steppes basement ). You dont know how old Russia will change when all of that properly opens up. Second of all, Venus seems to have much more content and a bigger map, and presumably Mars has a larger map too. Id say that with what weve played, current Old Russia is maybe 10% tops.
But it needs as much content as [ insert MMO here ]!
No it doesnt. This isnt an MMO. This is a FPSRPG with some MO ( notice the missing M? ) elements and should be treated as such. Expect Borderlands-level amounts of content for the initial release ( which they seem to already be passing ), not MMO-levels.
the beta was a small slice from the beginning of the game, not the entire game shrunk down into a smaller package. Destiny has some stuff that needs looking at, some elements that might not work out and I completely understand if this isnt your kind of game. Thats fine. But from what I can see, the amount of content isnt going to be a problem. So can we just stop this stupid unreasonable outrage over nothing please? You guys are overreacting in a big way.
Not really, as there were a few caves and underground areas where ?? mobs hung out. So, I'm wondering what lies beyond them (if anything).
Well I guess now more than ever, the campaign really needs to deliver a compelling story, if they want the first game to have legs.
Ok, Im going to try this one more time.
.
Why not? Skyrim already does that albeit it's not an FPS.
Ok, Im going to try this one more time.

Am I deaf or does he never actually say there is only one playable area per planet?
They mostly end up back to places that we've been to before. I did it surprisingly without getting killed so I got to go all the way back there.
I don't know why people expected Chicago or Europa to be available at launch. Bungie haven't mentioned them for like a year and in any trailer or recent interviews. Surely some people could have set some realistic expectations.
Can you point me to this marketing that over promised? I must have missed it since this is exactly the size I expected for this game.
We have to be fair, Bungie themselves said this wasn't an MMO so we shouldn't expect the amount of content to be at that level.
But why the $500 million dollar budget then?
Man. Four zones. That is just...ROUGH to hear.

I can't believe I'm rethinking my pre-order. I guess my expectations were too high.
If you want to think them telling us we can explore anywhere we can see or talking about areas in concept art that apparently don't really exist isn't misleading, that's your business.Ok, Im going to try this one more time.

Are you sure that budget wasn't what was given for the 10 year, 3 title overall plan that was made and not just for this one game?
I have no idea what that means.So it should be like Bioshock Infinite?
