I've put probably 10 hours into trying to get into a raid and have never succeeded. I did sword school once, but that was just a tutorial on beating crota. I won't be playing any more destiny until they add matchmaking for raids.
I'm repeating like crazy because it helped me: join an active group on the100.io, which is a site built around setting up appointments with people who play the same time as you. On Friday I set up a raid for Monday at noon, and I had 5 other people ready to go right on time. It's helpful and seemingly built for adults who don't have tons of time, as the only time I've been matched with 420-gamertag-laden teen douche-bros has been through other LFG sites. You can even sort groups by average age, which is pretty sweet.
I don't think you can get entheric light in the 28 Poe can you? I had to suffer through two weeks of iron banner to hit max level since I'm
unable to raid. If taken king adds matchmaking to all activities I'll jump back in. If not I'll pass and play something else.
If the PoE 32 is one of the easier ones (I.e. Not the Qudron fight, because fuck that noise), you could do that once per week to get Armor Cores, which can get you to lv 34. And using reddit or an LFG site to arrange PoE32 isn't bad at all. Completely doable without a mic, if that's a deal breaker.
I do hope they finally cave and put matchmaking in, so long as I can sort by mic and casual/serious flags. So far the best, most fun, and most successful LFG experiences have come when I only look for people with a big ol' "CASUAL/RELAXED LOOKING FOR CHILL PEOPLE" disclaimer. The nice part is that anyone who posts K/D requirements or "must know what you're doing/have particular weapon" on group posts usually just out themselves as undesirable anyway.
