I've never personally played Drakengard 1 or 2 ( I did go through the let's play of 1) but absolutely love Nier.

This just keeps getting worse, unless some Cavia people are working there.
Oh boy.
I need to check again, but I'm guessing Cavia staff got absorbed into the (Marvelous) AQI collective. Moot point since the people responsible for the creative side of Nier/Drakengard left, so they were as good as dead regardless of what happened to the rest.
But since they're here anyway it's a moot point, and it'd be kind of amazing if Access/Swery were involved beyond just putting the game together.

Well Apocalypse for me was pretty badass.
Wasn't DP a mess? I'm sure the story is gonna be fine but now I worry very deeply for the gameplay and stability.

Well, this is post-Nier, they know how to make good games now.
Their last game, Lord of Apocalypse was actually very well played action RPG/hunting(?) game. I have no worry about their gameplay.
and yes DP was quite crappy but that was few years ago.
they're fun but super flawed; it's actually a concept I think would function better on current gen tech.
I'd like to see them give it another shot

The tech wasn't that big an issue with the first two games. It was more like Cavia just fucking hates gamers.
(I have no complaints about this)
