It's not a girl. It's not Zelda. It's not Link, either.
In the new Zelda Wii U, U are the hero.

Loftwings went extinct when people figured out they were delicious, a week after SS events. That doesn't make since, She would be riding a loftwing not a horse.
Breasts doesn't matter if she is purposely in disguise
It all makes sense now!...Time Travel!
I say its either female Link or a younger than Skyward Sword male Link. The breast debate reminds of the fact that there are still people who think Sheik is a guy. It's either Zelda, female Link, just plain Link (hopefully), or at the very worse in border-line "you're changing too much Aonuma" territory, Link is customizable.
hype is slowly, but surely, deflating.
It's fun to speculate, and I'd love to play as Zelda, but it's almost certainly Link.
I hope there isn't a huge backlash when people find out it's not a playable Zelda, or other female character.
Twist: Aonuma hasn't decided yet and he's waiting to see the reactions. He's reading this thread!

The ponytail is a dead giveaway that it's a girl. I mean everyone's doing it even Kojima, Snake's a girl too now!
omg playable hero confirmed! It's not a girl. It's not Zelda. It's not Link, either.
In the new Zelda Wii U, YOU are the hero.
Just take it as reflecting what they're expecting and either not wanting to be overly pedantic or don't want to use they for whatever reason. What's with people using gender specific pronouns to refer to the character when nothing regarding their identity or gender has been confirmed?
Yeah, though the breasts can be a perspective thing and after Magna Carta even they may not be enough proof.Come on thats clearly a female
The small but noticeable breasts, the more feminine bone structure.
he/she looks either way to me to be honest; a male with some feminine traits, as Link's always looked, or a flat chested female. Not sure where all this overconfidence from people calling him/her a female comes from
HereWait, where did they say that, I must not have caught it.
??? Show me the Link that had hips wider than his shoulders.
Until I see some dick or vage pics I will remain undecided.

Either a very young boy or a female. His/her body shape is way too feminine to be a young boy tho.
anything from this ? can see the saddle and Shield.
You will have to show me the wider hips than shoulders. I don't see it.
There IS something of a Ghibli female look to the character as shown in the avatar in the post right under your's... but the characters can be very androgynous there too so I'm not sure that's the greatest counter anyway.I've looked at Link so much today, and I still see him as "male." I don't understand the whole "It's so OBVIOUSLY a girl!" Er, no. Not to me, anyways. Just looks like Link to me?

So it's come to analyzing hip sizes now?
The only thing I notice from that picture is whoever designed Link has looked at some Nomura drawings. Multiple belts and buckles!
Why do people want it to be a girl?
It's constantly brought up these days, but what are concrete reasons that it would improve the game? Is it primarily for the sake of the medium seeming more inclusive?
I don't care either way if it's a female Link, Zelda, whatever, but I also never understand the desire to turn an established character into something they're not (Black James Bond, Gay Spider-Man, etc.)
Obviously if it's Zelda the previous sentence doesn't eactly apply, but the question stands.
I also don't see how blue eyed/blonde hair person is going to magically turn into Ganondorf by the end of the game or something.

Nope, Link andThe child of Link and Zelda.

Guys, how the hell could it be Aryll? Her world in Wind Waker is an ocean! There's barely any land!
Skyward Sword had a crap ton of tech and robots in one region. The art style was beautiful, the hints of open world puzzle solving tickled my The Witness sense, and a clearly female player character are all things that have me incredibly excited about this. But what the hell was up with that robot thing? Thats not Zelda.
