Lol at scrublet ICE car makers. Things are only going to get better as battery architecture and price continue to improve. There are SOO many less moving parts in EVs that ICE simply won't be able to compete long term. It is important for everyone to remember that this is a family sedan that is the fastest production car.

But it's not the fastest nor the quickest production car. Veyron is the fastest and 918 is the quickest AFAIK.

Per Tesla's press release:

The Model S P100D with Ludicrous mode is the third fastest accelerating production car ever produced, with a 0-60 mph time of 2.5* seconds. However, both the LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder were limited run, million dollar vehicles and cannot be bought new.

So it's currently the fastest production car.

And they're building a new Roadster too. Should be fast af.

Elon has recently stated that an upcoming Roadster is not currently a top priority. He said something to the effect that he would love to make a new Roadster but the other vehicles lined up are a bigger priority (Model 3, Model Y, pickup, urban mini bus thingy)
