Is the AF issue lopsided like the images shown here, or are we talking slightly better AF cases on PS4? because so far when this isssue is brought up, the AF difference is pretty jarring. Also, both having bad AF doesn't negate the fact that PS4 has several titles that have the problem whereas the XBO version doesn't, I think that's the key issue that raises eyebrows, why is this the case when the PS4 has a more powerful GPU?
In Sniper Elite's case, it is fairly lopsided:
Tomb RaiderE not as lopsided as the cases here (where it looks like PS4 is almost lacking AF entirely), in fact it points to what you would assume the more powerful PS4 GPU advantage over the XBO GPU would result in.
Both having bad AF doesn't negate the issue, but it simply points out that consistency between platforms is the norm, and inconsistency is the outlier. Which is why the question is: what the fuck is going on?
*face slap*
Yes, obviously, but we're not exactly talking about Xbox One, are we?
Well, we kind of are, aren't we? I mean, it's how the PS4 compares (unfavorably in these specific cases) to the XBO that is the issue. The PS4 overall doesn't have great AF in most games, but the same is true for XBO. The specific cases where it favors the XBO are the question mark.
