I meant to stay logged in but before leaving for work I accidentally hit the power button on my comp and didn't have the time to try to log back in.

I'll get to enjoy another 2+ hours of 1017 like last night, huzzah!

I'd like to get on and level up so I can get out of this getup... hah.

at last, for christ's sake
so I just started playing this, I'm on Faerie. So far I'm liking the graphics, quests and music...

but jesus fuck if it ain't one of the crappiest mmo launches ever, and I've seen a lot. You guys aren't lying. Completely useless queue system, constant server overload, don't ever try to logout because logging in again would prove impossible between world full / unable to update server list/ queue which actually doesn't do shit. All I've seen in the past 40 minutes is

SE really needs to improve things real fast because it's a fucking piece of shit at this point and subs are going to drop faster than a nut busted in front of Gianna's best porns

Started my login macro, went afk and within 10 minutes I was in. Worked twice now.

It was said that they would eventually but not until all of these terrible technical issues are resolved. So I'm pretty sure it's all good:)

This game is sooooo good, it's ridiculous!

Story is already picking up, just had a mix of voiced cutscenes and CGI scenes. Really feels like Final Fantasy, especially like the early ones, getting a lot of different vibes here, FF I-II, XII etc. vibes.

After you clear the dungeon, there is also the score fanfare theme, wow!

I agree! This is the Final Fantasy I've been missing for years. I'm only up to level 17 main story wise, but this game is great!

The only issues with the game seems to pertain to log-ins, but when people actually play it - no complaints. It's quite a steady experience in-game and there's lots of fun to be had. The frustration that people are expressing comes from not being able to play this fun game. Once SE sorts everything out (hopefully soon, my goodness it's been a week already), everyone will be enjoying the game.

Also, if they compensate for lost time, say, 7 free days or so added - I imagine they'd be in good will with gamers.

These later cutscenes after lvl40 are so cool.

I really should catch up to the story, because I skipped majority of it in the early levels >_>

This would do wonders. I don't even care if it's not announced, because if it is people that want to afk would just plan around it if possible. Whereas the people that wanted to play might be temporarily inconvenienced then log back in.

Goddamn it randomly booted me out like 4 hours ago and i still haven't been able to get in. Griefed me for over an hour last night, hadn't hit the bad spots before that.

You can disregard the stopping part, it will still get you in even if it keeps cancelling the queue.

Some people are saying this launch is worse than Diablo 3's? But you couldn't play that game due to server issues... and it was for single player. To me that's much more ridiculous than what's going on now. At least when you luckily get into the servers here, you can play for hours without a hitch.

Still, that doesn't mean what's going on now isn't a mess. SE needs to act quick with the extra data centers and implement a proper queue system that isn't borked.

When character transfers are put in, are we potentially going to be allowed to transfer from NA/EU to JP servers ?

Started today, couldn't make a character on any JP server since they were all locked and it's the closest to my timezone -_-

Got to unlock WHM last night so I'm happy.

If any of you DPSers want to fast forward a queue for some dungeons, get at me in game (El Capistan) or PM me. I know how sucky it is to finally log in and wait an hour then get disconnected. Usually willing to help unless I've had too much to drink.

The shimmering foliage in the game is kind of a weird thing.
It seems like SE purposely disabled mip maps on the grass and trees, etc. I wonder why... maybe the mips were nasty, or they couldn't get them blending nicely.

Is playing as a WHM fun? I've never been one to take up a healing role, but I'm open to it.

^_^ Got my chocobo earlier, and I've hit level 25 on my main job (Archer).

Logged out to do some housework and let someone else play, but now I can't get back in. Annoying, but I can't abide the thought of staying AFK and denying someone else the slot. I wish others would log out too, yeah it's annoying but think of the people who've not been able to play at all!

Four days for me, several hours of trying to get in every day!

Can't blame the idlers for failings on SE's part, but it is pretty disappointing that I've barely been able to play since EA started.

Diablo 3 had issues but they did clear up and it wasn't constant either. It would go down for a while but it would come back just fine. The problems with FFXIV have been ongoing for a week now and look to be ongoing even further. This is without a doubt the worst MMO launch I've been in years, and I've played in most of them.
