This site sucks. If you actually care about film ranking services and don't use Criticker, you're doing it wrong.

Like I said to QVT, I'm not a big fan of giving number scores to movies. And this can fairly addictive -- when it's not running like total shit. Criticker is objectively the better site, though. I don't really feel like taking sides in a MOVIE RATING WEBSITE argument.

Yeah, never heard anyone say The Fugitive sucks before. Movie so good. Armageddon on the other hand, ouch.

Well, if it's any consolation, I picked it over Armageddon. So the world can rest easy.

Like I mentioned before, if you guys want to clean up your top spots, you can filter by top 20/50/100/250. Then you'll get better matchups.

My top 20 is terrible, they kept pitting King Kong against crap movies and its at my number 1.

It wasn't until I got like 300-400 movies rated, then I started liking my Top 20. Give it some time and you will slowly see some improvement.

and Punch Drunk Love or The Prestige!? Ack. PDL it is.

I'm trying both at the moment and I gotta say, once the site actually runs properly, I'll most likely end up liking Flickchart more. I hate assigning numbers and they use a 100 point scale, which makes it even worse.

WWGray4 on Flickchart, btw.

I'm just not sure how a site attempting to create a list of the best films of all time amongst its users doesn't even have things like The Rules of the Game, The Passion of Joan of Arc, The 400 Blows or even fucking Breathless in its database. It doesn't make sense.

And those are just the ones I actively tried to find in two minutes time.

EDIT: Or even City Lights. What the fuck?

See, the site is perfect for a philistine like myself.

My Blueberry Nights is the only Wong Kar-Wai film in the database. :lol
Dude, its in beta. Movies are still being added, and they are probably starting with the movies most people know to keep people interested early on.

Anyone else have the urge to buy some movie posters?

That's one of the things I love about this site. They have so many fantastic international posters! some of them are insane though.

Complain in a month, you can always request movies. They are just testing it out now. We understand they don't have everything, but just enjoy it now and you can always add them later. Did imdb have every movie ever made the first week it launched?

Collateral vs. The Wrestler!?! Ahh Collateral I guess..

Obviously fake, as Natalie Portman doesn't star in all of those!

I just got Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas vs. Casino for the second time in 4 matches. Hopefully that doesn't happen again...

Neat site, though.

Ura's EDIT: Question: What happens when you pick "haven't seen it" for a movie? Does it disappear from coming up again or does it keep coming up as often as it ever has? I ask because maybe I haven't seen a very influential movie before but it turns out to be a movie I really really like when I see it but it refuses to come back up. Does anybody know about this?

What is everyone's top 10 movies they haven't seen? You can find this under your profile.

The Professional
Braveheart
Monsters, Inc. (seen, but don't remember much of it)
Batman
The Breakfast Club
Rocky
The Blues Brothers
Unforgiven
The Untouchables
The Nightmare Before Christmas

Don't kill me GAF :lol

What in fuck...

Also, I just had American History X vs. Edward Scissorhands for the second time. I hope they don't keep asking me duplicates!

Wait, what? I was making a joke about fistful's list, assuming it's his personal one. Are you saying she's in all the movies listed there?

I know, I know.

In my admittedly poor defense, I've had Fight Club and all the Godfathers spoiled for me for so long that I can't even remember when it happened, so I've never felt really compelled to see them.

It doesn't come up again AFAIK, but under your profile you can say you have seen it after you watch!
