Forza Motorsport 4 - The Floodgates Have Opened...

The blue car in front of the driver's car is a Porsche right (...or wrong?)?

It's a RUF.

Forza 4 — the first few hours (preview)

He pretty much confirms multi-class racing in career mode. Nice!

the dude in the article said:
I got another win at the Hockenheimring, a coursein Germany. It was a multiheat race with one competition taking place in the morning and the next one in the afternoon. One thing I noticed is that the AI drives more like human players. There are moments when I was in second and speeding to catch up, when all of a sudden, the driver in first place would crash or takes a corner badly and end up mowing the lawn. Some of the accidents can be spectacular, but what’s brilliant is that it all feels organic.

This excites me. It's something that GRID did absolutely superbly, making me believe that AI drivers here human, and humanly fallible. It really helps me feel immersed. Seeing a few AI cars crash or spin out in front of me and having to react accordingly, picking my way through the smoke and debris at speed... it's a real thrill, and something that was sadly lacking in the Forza series. If this really has been addressed in FM4 then I will be a happy man.

EDIT: Amar, are you sorted for credits now? I have no XBL on my Forza rig (something I need to address in the next few weeks) but can boot he game up downstairs to get you some credits.

In a couple videos, Dan has mentioned that you can customize the racing suits. He even said someone in turn 10 paints custom suits for when they play top gear soccer. Maybe you can add some colour or decals to your suit in the livery editor. Regardless, anything is better than the ugly ass grey suit and gloves from FM3.

He's mentioned this a couple of times in interviews, but I'm pretty sure Dan was talking about painting team jerseys on the actual cars themselves, not customising the racing suits. I might be wrong, but it would seem to make more sense - you wouldn't really be able to easily identify your team mates purely by the colour of their racing suit, even if they were only driving convertibles.

There's definitely more than one set of suits, gloves and helmets, but whether you can actually 'paint' them..? We'll know in a few weeks, I guess!

Thank you very much for your care guys, especially to Sound and Crude who bought my phenomenal design :D

Amar should be good to go on funds :)

...I am more than refunded and good to go beyond any level. Few of my XBL friends also sent me plethora of cars and my loss is being take car of flawlessly. But Jube was a great help and once more - thank you J-Man.

I was alo introduced to spectacular method of XP-gaining over Sidewinder A configuration and I am already LV14. So, I should be back to LV50 in one week I presume.

Thank you very much for your support and care guys, much appreciated!

Did they do a Namco and put something like Geometry Wars on the loading screen?
lol I'm not sure but I think it's some pre-loading expectation done by the game.

They mentioned this a while ago, I forgot the articles location.

Come on, this is the company that reversed engineered the SUN.

They put Forza Motorsport 2 on the loading screen.

The more I see of this, the harder it is to wait. I seriously cannot fathom where the time will go. I'm tempted to start building car club liveries in fm3 just to get a leg up on it all...
I'm dying too bro, arrrrggh!

After getting a PM regarding the exchange of Xbox Live GT's, I was wondering if Forzagaf is going to list eachothers GT's not only for racing leagues but for rivals mode.
The obvious problem with actual racing leagues is the time differences of each region. At least with rivals mode, we won't have that problem as we can race against eachothers times....well, beat Mascot's times anyway....

I thought rivals was random people at your skill level?

Isn't it against poeople on friends list?
For every Rivals mode event you are automatically assigned a rival (usually an Xbox LIVE friend), or you can manually set any player on the leaderboard as your rival

I stand corrected

But yeah rivals mode is more realistic than actual races cause all our schedules are out of whack. Any one who challenges me is in for an easy win, cause Im teaching myself to drive stick so they get to go against me on my magical journey of finding the correct gear.

Why are LeMans and the Nurburgring so smooth?

Mulsaane should be tossing the car around, not be flat as glass.

:/ T10 track modelling.

I'm all for joining Forza GAF if you guys will take me.

I never once raced online in 3, but I think it's time to change that. I do use some assists, but my top priority is racing clean and avoiding contact unless it's absolutely unavoidable. I'm not one of the yahoos.

Damn, no citroen DS4. At least the C4 is still there :)

Can't blame them though; considering the amount of work that goes into each car, T10 probably wanted to focus on classics, milestones or cars that won't look out of place in next iterations of the franchise.
In retrospect, including current regular cars in fm3 wasn't very wise; as much as i love my C4, for example, having the 2007 model in fm4 makes little sense and it will just look so random in fm5.

Random stuff.

Badned on FC said November DLC packs some amazing stuff.

Cockpit view in the 908 looks insane, but yeah, wish the track (that and the ring) felt a little more bumpy.

IGN LOL. Was hoping we'd get something like Gamespot video preview..

I need more replay footage! possibly at higher difficulty levels, so cpu cars don't become blurred dots on the horizon after 10 seconds :p

Love the new sounds for tires.

November DLC will be amazing?
What could possibly make it amazing?

I NEED the game right now. I'm feeling like a junkie going through withdrawal because of my self imposed exile from racers...

I'm up for some races against fellow Ausgaf members at times which suit us if we can get enough people together.

Best part of public Forza 3 multiplayer was the stock ladder where everyone was driving the same car, so much fun.
yea it was great until everyone crashed into each other on the first corner

It is SO annoying watching videos where the people can't drive. Ugh. Get someone who can drive to drive when you record the video!

Maple Valley looks amazing.

Indy is meh. The oval is an awesome think to have but the infield is one of the worst tracks there is.

Bring back NYC + full Positano as DLC!

Did you see the Gamersyde Kaido + replay/Laguna Seca?

Too many games with poor AI has led to a swath of people who's preferred way of taking turns is using a car on the outside as containment. Ugh.

What race or even game does that not happen in? Could you just not hear somebody say something good about Forza without having some sort of dig?

Perhaps I'm just being paranoid, but its really hard to not get that impression from your posts. For every good thing you say about Forza, there's 9 other posts where you're criticizing it. Or you'll say something like, "Well yea thats good, but that part where blah blah still sucks!" I dont like eternal optimism and positivism, but do you really think you're fooling anybody? I'm sure you genuinely enjoy Forza to a degree, but you seem to enjoy 'putting it in its place' a little too much for my tastes.

Is it just playing that track? or is it other things to setup? Because since I lost my perfect career also, I was toying with the idea of figuring out a way to quickly hit LV50. I'm just so discouraged. :(

Long time since I posted here as I don't have Internet at my new home yet and don't have it on the phone anymore (500 MB for one month is tiny when using only this connection). My impressions on the recent announcements :

I will start with the negative to get it out of the way. I'm disappointed by the lack of F40 and LP670-4 Autovista porn in the final game. Hopefully they'll be back in DLC form. Which brings me to the DLC prices increase which I find ridiculous and suspect is only there to sell the fake discounted price of the Season Pass which is equal to the price we paid for FM3. [/conspiracy theorist]
I'm not a fan of the changes made to Monserrat. It now feels like a mountain region I could see anywhere instead of a very unique place.
One other thing that bothers me and that has been discussed in this thread is the road glare and the bloom which I was already finding overdone at E3.
Last thing, the lack of more exciting tracks is a bit disappointing but it was expected. Hopefully they'll release some in DLC instead of waiting for FM5 on the next Xbox.

Now the positive side. The game looks fantastic in those videos (except for the details mentioned above), I'm impressed by the cockpit (dat Zonda R !) and the whole look of the game, a massive improvement over FM3. I was also drooling when I saw the active aero, exhaust flames (dat Le Mans video ) and the working dashboard (the 908 one, missing in FM3). It adds so much to the game.
The sound seems really good too, can't wait to hear that on my setup. :)
I just can't wait to get my hands on the game. I want to experience the gameplay changes, dive into World Tour mode, explore Autovista, beat some times in Rivals mode, race with some GAFfers, take tons of Big Shots, become deaf when hearing the new sounds, download awesome liveries, etc...
