Now now, I don't think this is completely fair towards the US, plenty of good folk there too who do their best to make shit better. It's not about being European, American or whatever, just be a decent person, of which there are obviously quite many in the US too.

What exactly do these people take issue with? That Superman would have the gall to protect innocents from being murdered, that it should be morally okay to murder illegal immigrants, or that white, domestic terrorist nuts from a conservative background aren't an actual problem?
