Hamburg, 11.

And here we go with the Wii up-ports. :lol
I noticed Atlus was signed up in the press release, so I assume we will be seeing Trauma Center also.

This could will be the start of a rather hilarious trend.

Trauma Center is awesome =\

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free

They better get their pointer controls on track if they wanna just port it over, 2nd opinion is brutal.

But wasn't the look kiddified because it was originally planned for Wii?
How will they explain this to all those "mature" PS3-owners? :lol

I just hope EA makes with the PS3 Boom Blox.
Prognosis good. From a job posting:

What if EA had an internal start up? The BAFTA-winning Boom Blox team is an agile, closely-knit group which answers questions by prototyping before building design documents.…

Our last two titles were Wii-based, but our next titles will be for the next generation.

So, since last I posted this list, Wii has had 2 exclusives release (Calling last week, Fragile in the next week), gained one exclusive (Disney's Guilty Party), and lost two exclusives (EA Sports Active 2, LOTR Aragorn's Quest). The Wii now has a grand total of 18 third-party exclusive games (or multiplatform games where the Wii version has a conceivable advantage of other platforms)

1. Arc Rise Fantasia. Ignition - Status: Announced June 2008, released in Japan June 2009. June 22, 2010.
2. Disney's Epic Mickey. Disney - Status: Announced October 2009. Sep 2010.
3. Disney's Guilty Party. Disney - States: Announced February 2010. No release date.
4. Dragon Quest X. Square Enix - Status: Paper announcement December 2008. 2011+
5. Flip's Twisted World. Majesco - Status: Announced E3 2009. April 2010.
6. Lost in Shadow. Hudson - Status: Announced August 2009. 2010.
7. Monster Hunter Tri. Capcom - Status: Announced October 2007, released August 2009 in Japan. Apr 6 2010.
8. NBA Jam. EA Sports - Status: Announced January 2010. 2010.
9. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. Ubisoft - Status: I include this multiplatform title. May 18, 2010.
10. Red Steel 2. Ubisoft - Status: Announced Mid-2008 although had been almost completed before this and rebooted entirely. Mar 23, 2010.
11. Rock of the Dead. Conspiracy Entertainment - Status: Announced February 2010. 2010.
12. Samurai Warriors 3. Koei - Status: Not announced for localization.
13. Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love. Nippon Ichi - Status: Multiplat, Released in Japan 2005, announced for localization in July 2009. Mar 23, 2010.
14. Tales of Graces. Namco - Status: Not likely to be localized.
15. Taiko Drum Master. Namco - Status: Not likely to be localized.
16. Tournament of Legends. Sega - Status: Announced E3 2009, reannounced February 2010. May 2010.
17. TrackMania Wii. US Publisher Not Announced - Status: Announced June 2009. 2010.
18. Trauma Team. Atlus - Status: Announced May 2009. May 18, 2010.

Of this list, only NBA Jam seems like a likely candidate to be multiplatform and we've already seen from several Linkedin profiles that there was a PS3/360 version at one point.

I think that's a pretty good list of games, though I'm sure it won't catch the attention of Wii-naysayers. I'm highly anticipating Monster Hunter, Trauma Team, NBA Jam, Trackmania, Lost in Shadow and Arc Rise Fantasia. And I'll consider most of the other ones, if they get good word-of-mouth.

On topic: Aragorn's Quest could be quite cool. If it's a fun co-op game, I'll definitely be getting it.

What is the advantage that makes it worth listing in the case of Sakura Wars?

I'm a little confused... they decided to port a Wii/PS2/PSP game to PS3 because PS3 now has a motion controller? Was it going to be too difficult to port the PS2 controls to a PS3 game?

I included that one because, like Nippon Ichi's rationale for actually commissioning the Wii port, many people have ditched the PS2 at this point and moved on. Very few PS3 owners own BC models at this point. I have no problem giving the Wii the benefit of the doubt and saying that every Wii/PS2 multiplatform game is "Wii exclusive" for all relevant purposes of the conversation.

Also, the original purpose of that list was to establish a list that was as generous as possible to the Wii because it was originally posted in a thread where people were bitching about publishers not supporting the Wii in the context of me arguing "if you don't like what you see on this list, it's not going to change any time soon, so make peace or get another console to complement your Wii".

Of course, obviously if you have a PS2 hooked up there's no advantage to getting the Wii version (unless you want to go so far down the line that you bring up memory card space).

Actually, when this game was first announced I thought it was a sort of odd platform configuration. Now that they're announcing the port (and since they're excluding the 360, obviously they're very intentionally positioning the PS3 port as a motion controlled game) I'm even more confused! :p

I just asked because the Wii version doesn't have dual audio, which is a pretty big disadvantage particularly for this game IMO. The real question is whether the PS2 version on PCSX2 or the Wii version on Dolphin will be better :D

HOTD overkill might actually be a good PS3 game if they let you walk around instead of having the on-rails bullshit.
HOTD is a onrails franchise... this claim is as ridiculous as demanding a virtua cop sequel with cod controlls

Be funny they port over a bunch of the wii games and simply release them on psn
That actually sounds like a great idea. Sony is pretty strict with the quality of titles coming in, especially compared to what is allowed to release on the Wii, so you could potentially get a decent influx of good games.

well the RE series got a lot of flack for going onrails with the gunsurvivor series.. the chronicle series is a tad better but still alot of people consider it a spinoff/side story that cant match the quality of the originals

Yes, take all the shovelware and put it on the PS3 where it still won't sell and continue to bitch about it.
A win for everyone?

To be fair, I loved the LOTR games that were more aimed towards kids, then any of the EA later efforts.

The Hobbit ftw!

And with Headstrong working on this, it's gotta at least be decent. I'm gonna give it a whirl on my Wii.

I dont think that they put Games like Monster Hunter 3 on Wii because of the controls :lol

Its the userbase people - nothing more. But it would be nice if games like Zack n Wiki and Co. would get their second chance maybe on PSN.

If they were smart, 3rd parties should use natal and the move to pump out lot of cheap ports directly on live and psn. At full retail these games are going to fail though on both consoles. But it would be neat for cheap releases for ddl. Maybe finally release HOTD4 on the consoles since it was a HD game in arcades. And rerelease TC4 for move and natal. But ports for full price? I don't think so.
