Well, I don't buy a lot of games at full price. So a rather short list, since most games I play where released a long time ago.

I'll revist this thread after I play Mass Effect. Still, as it stands now it's going to have to be a hell of a game to dethrone SMG in my book.

I'm in Europe at the moment, so...

7. Lost Planet (again, I'm in Europe, and it came out in January up here)

I swear, the decision was so damn hard to make between Halo 3 and Mass Effect that if I could, I'd give them a tie, really... both are unbelievably good, and feel like they were made for me...

As for the rest of my list, never was it so easily to drop about 10 sure-fire GOTY contenders, and these don't even include other sure-fire GOTY contenders like COD4 and VF5, which I didn't include on the list because I don't own them - yet. The Orange Box is only on there because I played through Portal by a friend, and thought it was too good to not mention...

What an amazing year 2007 is...

Haven't played SMG as I no longer have a Wii and I also haven't played Mass Effect. I would would include Okami and FFXII if I had finished them, but this list is really for USA anyway.

I don't want to complain but I don't really like the scoring methodology. 1st gets 10, 2nd gets 9 and so forth...the goty is the most significant choice and there should be a higher score difference between 1st place and the rest.
