You need to add the track number to the ID3 tags, which I know for sure you can do in iTunes, not so sure about Foobar.
Right click -> Properties

The ID3 tag editing in Foobar is beyond amazing. Makes editing songs a breeze even if they don't have proper tags to begin with as long as the files have names.

Edit: this thread is a wrap. Enzo, where you at?

Big Ghost reviews Yeezus and Born Sinner

HOLY FUCKING SHIT I AM DYING HERE

4. “New Slaves” – This shit sound like ART…n Ion mean that as a compliment bruh. I feel like the Blue Man Group gon hear this n be like YO LOOK AT THIS MUTHAFUCKA JACKIN OUR SHIT B… This beat is like if you take ‘Cold’ n slowed it down 90% n stripped away anything that was interesting bout it. If you brought a kangaroo into the studio n tried to get it to play some notes on the keyboard it would probably play some shit like this… Shit is not exactly beyond the capabilities of the average marsupial wit no musical training whatsoever b. Only time shit gets musically interesting is bout 3 mins in when son hits us off wit some autotune bullshit n actual music n shit… Lyrically aint nothin on this song that son aint already said better on All Falls Down. If you a hipster muthafucka ya fedora probably did a backflip on ya wig the moment ya heard this shit tho. I mean…Ion HATE this shit but I aint feelin it neither yo.

6. “I’m In It” – This probably coulda been on MBDTF too… Shit got that Cruel Summer feel to it too (Yall thought THAT shit was hard to enjoy…). But this shit even creepy for a Kanye song bruh…talmbout bitin n eatin ass… Son made sure he mentioned it was some Asian box he was pourin sweet n sour sauce on n a Black chick he was puttin his fist in like a civil rights sign tho. Jus so we kno he not sayin this shit bout his Armenian queen namsayin. But if he WAS describin his baby moms on this song he probably woulda stuck a lamb kebab in her ass n spread baba ghanoush all on it. Listen son….what this muthafucka wanna do in the privacy of his own domain is his business n whatever namsayin…but all I can picture is a seeded up Kim K wit her orca dress half off n a gagball n her mouth when he sayin this nasty shit yo. Ionno what purpose a muthafucka might have for this track other than to have shit to listen to at a Trojan orgy or some shit like that. If you rock latex garments n enjoy painful sex this might be your jam tho….

Actually mirrors my initial thoughts of the whole album. Not feeling it much and the best song on the album, Blood on the Leaves is ruined by the auto-tune BS that goes on for far too long.

Picked up these twoo

Anyone else buy any albums today?

Some real hip-hop, Mac and Lord Quas. Need to see of Statik's new album is worth a buy.

Also, there's something wrong with your camera. The edges look like they're fading.

I've listened to XXX so many times but I'm still so conflicted on it. There are some great songs (Radio Song, Outer Space, Lie4, XXX, Bruiser Brigade, Monopoly), but some of the songs really don't jive with me, Die Like a Rockstar being the most notable example.

That's one of the best on the album for me :/

Interesting to see that the mixing/mastering of Yeezys on the itunes (US and New Zealand respectively) are different from each other and both are different from the CD version.

I smell a re-issue in a month or two.

Someone ask mike dean about how he squashed his beef with ASAP rocky and how he ended up mastering the album and what he thinks of it.

Big Ghost reviews were on point. I wish he had went in on Cole about avoiding the Kendrick renegade though.

This shit stuck out in the Cole review though
3. “Land of the Snakes” – I jus wanna say that Outkast’s Aquemini is probably one of the 20 greatest hip hop albums ever yo…on anybody list. Unless you jus freestyled over some shit for a mixtape or whatever…you would gotta be like a top 5 rapper in the game to really use one of the beats from that album n throw it on ya own joint n have that shit be cool. Like to jus take the whole beat n spit on that like you Cam’ron or Mos Def n claim that shit as ya own nahmean… To do that wit a joint off Aquemini you would gotta be like the illest ni**a doin it b. But if you jus some subpar mediocre youtube type rapper who happen to get a deal you might wanna chill n jus not disrespect the niggas who made that ultra glorious shit. Like unless you bangin out a classic album yaself then maybe you dont wanna een draw those comparisons n shit neither anyways. But the simple fact is you shouldnt walk on that white velvet carpet wit ya dirty ass shoes b. Cole really jussa gumboot rapper yo…he dont float over this shit like established n credible rappers or whatever. Thats all Im sayin. No disrespect. Like had he took a Petey Pablo or Shyne beat nobody woulda gave a fuck. They on his level n vice versa so its all good. Go get you that ‘This Is Why Im Hot’ beat by that ni**a Mims or some shit like that. Get at the ni**a Memphis Bleek n tell him you wanna use some shit from his vast catalog of ok shit n he gon give you that nod ya kno…he gon hit off lovely like YO WORD YOU GOT MY BLESSINGS DAWG…I TILT MY DURAG UNDER MY FITTED TO YOU CUZ YOU N ME WE CUT FROM THE SAME CLOTH MY NI**A HOLLA. Thats jus some shit to think bout Jermaine. Especially if you spittin bars like “I came out the womb wit my dick hard”…

Yeezus review was straight jokes. Shit had me dying from the start
1. “On Sight” – Imma keep it all the way real wit yall…the way this shit started had me wishin for the days of unnecessary Mr West skits… maybe even Nicki Minaj recitin some bullshit ass limerick in a British accent or whatever… Soon as I heard the electro shits start up I knew what the fuck was bout to happen… This shit like BLOOP BLUHHH BLEEP BLOOP BLUHHH BLEEP BLOOP BLUHHH BLEEP BLOOP BLUHHH BLEEP BLOOP BLUHHH BLEEP TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK BLOOP BLUHH BLEEP BLOOP BLUHHH BLEEP…soundin like he made a beat n threw the Atari filter on that shit when it was done. The hook like BLUH BLUH BLUH ON SIGHT BLUH BLUH BLUH ON SIGHT… I kno it aint paintin a vivid picture for yall muthafuckas who aint heard the shit yet but trust me…shit is accurate. Took me bout 200 listens before I saw any value in this shit. It aint my favorite track or nothin but I aint mad at it really. Probably be kinda dope at a show…….in the middle of a desert…….on Mars……wit Chinese acrobats shootin outta cannons from one side of the stage to the other n this shit blastin out some big ass speakers at 70 billion gigahertz n whatever..Ionno…

Big ghost said Born Sinner is etch a sketch music, like it once and never fuck wit it again..
KuGsj.gif

true. every time i scroll past that shit in my iTunes i'm like "nahhhhhhhh i'm good."

another bit from the Yeezus review i liked

Somebody whose opinion I respect said Kim K box gotta be trash…cuz Amber Rose inspired MBDTF. That shit resonated wit me son. But this shit? Not so much. Then again maybe Kanye not makin music for muthafuckas like me right now. Maybe he makin shit for sensitive perverted ni**as that dont like drums. Or maybe he hopin ni**as is gon follow him wherever he goin. All I kno is son aint fall off. Like…he definitely CHOOSIN to do some other OTHER shit right now… Its like when he made 808s n Hearbreak n then bounced back wit MBDTF. Whether you fucks wit this shit or not…he definitely pushed the art n the culture forward…like pullin out a kids rotten teeth n allowin the new ones to grow in. Ion personally ENJOY this shit the way I usually ENJOY Kanye albums but he definitely got muthafuckas reevaluatin shit. We reactin to it. Even the ni**as that LIKE like this music is sayin ni**as jus dont GET it n actin wild defensive n shit… Im sayin 1) Fuck yall n 2) Maaaaaaybe yall right. First time I heard this shit I was like GET KANYE THE FUCK OUTTA HERE. Now Im thinkin hol up…did I miss some shit here? Thats art right there yo.

Going by the display at Best Buy today you wouldn't have known Cole or Mac even came out. 200 is damn good with zero retail presence. Weird setting the rows off blank cds though.

The physical is nice. The "tape" is perfed so you don't have to rip it. Somehow it comes together and doesn't look generic. Happy I bought the physical, but I got all the yeezys on cd.

It just sucks the iTunes version might have better AQ than my flac rip.

Questlove got a new book (Amazon).

i0vz9We.jpg

"You have to bear in mind that [Questlove] is one of the smartest motherfuckers on the planet. His musical knowledge, for all practical purposes, is limitless." --Robert Christgau

it's already making folks mad too.
The book, co-written by Ben Greenman, editor at the New Yorker, includes some footnoted commentary -- penned by Rich Nichols -- that is attracting some controversy prior to the release.

Nichols, manager of the Roots, offers his insight into 2 Chainz's most recent album, Based on a T.R.U. Story.

"It's a f---ing object lesson in thematic narrowness, one dumbass idea repeated over and over again," Nichols reportedly wrote. "There's a song called 'Crack' and then a song called 'Dope Peddler,' right next to each other. Then a little later there's a song called 'I Luv Dem Strippers.' I'm not knocking 2 Chainz, but what kind of market elevates him like that, at the expense of everything else?"

might have to go cop that shit.

yeh i wanna get that questlove, only heard about it in this article..

http://www.grantland.com/blog/holly...ong-by-song-analysis-of-kanye-wests-new-album

Second thought: I'm writing this on Friday night. Yeezus leaked this morning, so of course I spent all day driving around listening to it at mirror-rattling volume instead of doing what I was actually supposed to be doing today, which was writing about Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson's memoir Mo' Meta Blues, also set to drop on Tuesday the 18th. I was on deadline, but that fuck-up-your-whole-afternoon shit has a way of fucking up your whole afternoon. Much like Yeezus, Questlove's book is fantastic; also like Yeezus, it's written by a guy who's more than a little bit obsessed with Kanye. The two best extended music-critical riffs in the book are the part about J Dilla and the part about Kanye; Questlove describes watching young black kids watching West doing "Jesus Walks" at the Dave Chappelle's Block Party taping and reacting in a way he'd never seen kids respond to the Roots. He says that in that moment he experienced a premonition of his own "artistic death," the impending end of his tenure as a cultural leader.

Sounds good.
