On the topic of wallpapers, does anyone know the story behind interfacelift.com? Once arguably the most well known and oft recommended sites for curated high rez wallpapers, one day it abruptly went offline for months or years on end, then rose from its grave exactly as it vanished, in a state of suspended animation never to be updated again (which is how it has sat for like 5 years now). Weird and bizarre as fuck.

Since I am not a fan of restricting access to images that are publicly distributed and in the specific case of "Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2", I was personally interested in them but I don't have 1000-1500 posts, I spent my time looking for them on my own.

I have finally found them and share them freely for all gaffers who are interested.

I could not find any Virtua Fighter artwork on here. If there is then I apologise and will refrain from posting these.

I know that we always strive to preserve artworks the way they were made in the past or present, not edited etc. But ya know what guys, there are some things which are frankly beyond saving and are not meeting modern standards of quality. So, I thought that... well, since I know how to work in PS and let's just say I can do some things with it and its modern capabilities.... I think I can do original work justice, fix some things, modernize it when (if) possible and make it look as best as it can in moden times the way I see it, with PS stuff which just were not available back in 2005 etc. I mean, some early arts had some very nasty low res in-game stuff, misaligned layers, effects, some elements that look ugly, unfixable etc. even on final retail covers:messenger_loudly_crying:

So, I started with original God of War (2005) key art...:messenger_mr_smith_who_are_you_going_to_call:


Anyway, it's just a little project of mine which I'm dedicating some of my free time to.... when I can. I guess I'm doing it cuz I love video game art and and I used to paint and draw a lot like 25+ years ago, but then it translated to PS. I probably and most definitely won't post or share this stuff online, but I just wanted to share this with ya'll. It's not final stage of my work yet and I'm still working on it (and some other things). Obviously, I can do a lot more provided I had a really good drawing tablet to use with and in PS, but for now I can only work with what I have :messenger_relieved:

I understand and agree the disappointment that there are speculators who may try to profit on Ebay or other websites by selling prints, but I think there is more positive for the overall good sharing openly. Always keeping in mind that we are talking about advertising material and not personal work.

I congratulate you for this decision.
