I'm so happy Fillion isn't Locke. I burned out on that guy years ago.

"When did you become bored of Halo?"
Grunts, clearly the most well-informed senior members of the Covenant military hierarchy.
This thread has the most replies, so I suppose this is what we're going with.

Can someone help me with the timelines? I have the Kilo-5 trilogy on audiobook, so fact checking is a bit of a chore for me.
When does this mission take place in relation to whenThe infinity saved the arbiters forces from being overrun?

The Swords of Sanghelios gameplay looks great. Why the hell didn't they just show this instead of the level from the E3 demo? This looks much more fun. Love the verticality of the level design. Honestly, it very reminds me of Destiny, in-fact, I could have been fooled in to thinking it was destiny were it not for the recognisable enemies. The boosting around, the titan smash etc. All welcome mind. Looks like you'll have more things at your disposal. The graphics aren't exceptional, but the way I look at it is that it looks graphically comparable to Destiny, and that game runs at half the frame rate, so I'm not complaining.
Big update from 343 on halo 5's campaign

Large Portion of the game seems to be 1080p but it will dynamically change res in heavy action areas

Edit:
Thought I would pull some quotes from what people have posted
Also a longer quote around the 60fps dynamic resolution topping at 1080p

Yes! It's been sorely missed.
Was really hoping we'd see a Halo environment that looks wide and open. Nope. Instead, we have more campaign footage of narrow environments. I'm sorry but the choice to break wall A or B is not good Halo gameplay.
Look everyone, I found more Halo 5 footage! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tdxis0UnDFA
It goes... Halo 3 - Kilo-Five (2553) - Hunters in the Dark (2555) - Halo 4 (2557/8) - Halo Escalation/Hunt the Truth (2558) - Halo 5 (2558)
The event you're talking aboutIs in the 2nd Kilo-Five Novel.
E3 is about big blockbuster showpieces...halo 5 doesn't seem made for that so they made a piece that would show that off...agree or disagree the logic there is pretty flawless
The stuff in the k-5 books were various factions of Covenant infighting after arbiter made treaty with humanity. The opposing Covenant forces here in Halo 5 are Jul's ranks.

I think you meant to quote the other guy, I know that already. XD

Seriously...point out a level in any halo game that was foot based (not vehicle based) that is more open and has more options for approaching enemies...otherwise wtf to everything you typed
I really don't think The Swords of Sanghelios level is much different than the campaign demo we got at E3. It's still pretty much choose path A or choose path B.
The best Halo levels in prior games are not linear like this. See: The Silent Cartographer, Assault on the Control Room, Tsavo Highway. Again, I'm not saying that there shouldn't be linear levels mixed in, I mainly just don't want another Halo 4 campaign. So far, everything we have seen from this game looks like Halo 4's campaign plus squads.
