Nice to know that some cloth can confuse the shit out of an ancient evil.
Well he didn't say who the Chief was hiding from

Yeah, I saw a guy in a cloak, guessed by context it was the Chief... and thought "You've got to be kidding me."
Other than trying to "look cool/dramatic", I'm interested to hear -why-.
10/10 would give up basic privacy and consumer rights for.
Halo 5 running 60 FPS and having dedicated servers, what more can you possible ask for?
Why does a Spartan Super-soldier need robes?

Call of what now? Is that a game?for it to not be Call of Duty Halo edition.
Why is he wearing a robe when he's a supersoldier armored in space robot armor?

Oh, wait - that last gen game? With the dog? No, I'm thinking of Fable 2.
Sorry, but I have no idea what you're talking about. Was it on stage?
Does Masterchief's armor suddenly not protect him from dust and heat now?
My first thought upon seeing the mysterious cloaked figure was "Haha, I bet that's either the Chief or Marcus Fenix".
Never would've thought that the chief in full armor would seriously be beneath it.
How about returning to the Halo gameplay we all came to love with the Original trilogy. And leave all the infinity crap from Halo 4 behind.Halo 5 running 60 FPS and having dedicated servers, what more can you possible ask for?
I figured it was Halo from the start, since no other Microsoft first party franchise featured a character model they'd want to keep hidden for a bit, if only to show the dramatic reveal moments later. Still, it was a nice reveal and a solid announce trailer. The War Sphinx looks great.
That said, I'm in the odd place of being totally unexcited for a new Halo game. It's almost muscle memory for me to get hyped at the thought of a new Halo title, but Halo 4 was such a disappointment on all fronts, I can get excited for neither the fiction nor the gameplay.
Still, I'll follow development news on the game, particularly when 343 starts talking about the gameplay. What would get me excited for the game would be news of what 343 is not doing, as much as what they plan to do. The pitch that would start to sell me is, Halo *insert subtitle here* features a back to basics approach to Halo's gameplay, streamlining or removing features such as global ordnance, perks, armor abilities, etc.
I don't want an evolution of Halo 4, but a dramatic refinement/paring back of the systems added would pique my interest. Essentially, acknowledgement that the myriad problems 343 introduced to the game are ones they recognize as mistakes, rather than repeating them. Otherwise, I'll keep my distance.
That's what I wanted to know. Looked very goofy and cartoony.
Don't kid yourself, he'll link up with ol' UNSC by the 2nd stage.i think its really interesting that johns armor is damaged (visor is broken) and he's all alone on this planet, without the unsc.

That was stupid. A robe? Really?
This is essentially how I feel, though for me it's important to note the barrier that the Xbox One is serving right now. I will not be buying an Xbox at that price (I can't afford it), and I will not buy an Xbox until Microsoft drops all of its DRM policies.I figured it was Halo from the start, since no other Microsoft first party franchise featured a character model they'd want to keep hidden for a bit, if only to show the dramatic reveal moments later.
