Needs to add Doritos on that table.

From a ways back, you mean these doritos (and mountain dew)

I'm not getting the grenade tossing complaints. Do they go farther when you sprint, and they just patched out the "tap sprint to hardball" glitch? I've been chucking Pulse Grenades Halo CE-level distances lately. On Exile I was actually up against a Binary Rifle dude in one of our base openings so I long balled a Pulse at him and got killed so I sort of just went about my business going after other people. A few seconds later:
GRENADE KILL +10
KILL FROM THE GRAVE +10
HAIL MARY +15

feels good man

Also, idea to nerf the Boltshot: make the overcharge eat an entire clip with a more obvious charging indicator, and only let it drain shields (or kill unshielded targets) with no bleedthrough. That way you either have to choose between:
-An EMP-capable Plasma Pistol
-A headshot-capable Plasma Pistol
-A scoped pistol that doubles the speed on animations for reloading, throwing grenades, and switching weapons

*shrugs* It just feels like when the reticule is at mid-screen or just above (ie, where it is 90% of the time, especially during fire-fights where you're lining up), grenade tosses were balanced such that they would travel 10-15 in-game feet. Now it feels like 5-8 feet, necessitating that players pull the reticule up off the target and aim high to get the grenade at the enemy's feet. This gives the enemy at least one if not 2 free shots at you.

The result: Grenades are now mostly used purely to start engagements, flush players out of cover, or as last ditch 'take him out with me' maneuvers. Compare that previous Halo's where using a well-timed grenade or melee in the midst of combat could turn an exchange your way.

Just one more way they tried to make the game like CoD, I supposed.

Apparently playing the game split screen in the Crimson DLC playlist is causing people to get perma banned.

Not sure how true that is or how accurate those conditions are.

EDIT: Should have said, I randomly saw that while checking out Halo Waypoint. It was a thread over there but it didnt gather too much traction. Was watching some of the bonus stuff for FuD which actually is cool.

My brother has been playing split screen for the last 20 minutes. I'll keep an eye on it. For science.

Not sure, just to clarify was looking at my stats and checking out the FuD bonuses on Halo Waypoint and that was a thread over there, dont think the thread had too much info itself.

Oh man, I just had a crazy awesome 5v5 game on Highground go 51-47, with a rocket kill taking out me and my teammate in the bunker for the last kill.

The frontline was moving constantly and multiple times the fighting was pushed to the back top part of the map by the fences/garage and the missile batteries.
It felt awesome to have all 5v5 players so close together fighting it out on that part of the map for minute long stretches.

I want just that top part as a its own map. I should remake that.

When they said that holding the flag would cause awesome music to play which pumped you up I was expecting something a little better. The music the plays at the moment does not pump me up. even the Pokemon music would have been better than what we have now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxaRbr4Dzts

I just wanted any excuse to post this retro peice of music - the battle theme thread in the gaming side made this song play in my head out of nowhere.

People will be achievement boosting and filling their party with guests? I know you could get credit bans for doing that in Reach, maybe they took it a step farther? Which is ridiculous, because achievement boosting using local guests is far less damaging to the community than doing it in games with real players.

That music would be really awesome for the flag carrier. I'd hold on to the flag even longer!

Ideas for the January Bulletin:
Hey guys! We know it's been a while and we hope you've been participating in the Halo 4 Infinity Challenge by Ford to earn all sorts of cool prizes! lol! We've been painstakingly monitoring data throughout all the playlists to lovingly craft a better experience for both newcomers and seasoned veterans alike, some more than others.
*pic of Frankie and Kiki drunk rife for kylej analysis*

Here's a listing of just some of the cool new updated matchmaking features:
-Quit bans are back and better than ever
-Red Xs make a return to those battle-hardy enough to earn the Nemesis package
-Sitrec Replays are now available across all playlists
-In order to allow for a more cohesive team-based experience, friendly fire is disabled and betrayal booting is disabled as well
-The Mantis can now jump!

CSR
Short for Competitive Skill Ranking, CSR looks to redefine competitive Halo. Keep an eye on Waypoint for more updates!

THE CARTOGRAPHERS HAVE RETURNED
We're also happy to announce community maps returning across all playlists! Due to bandwidth restrictions, we've disabled dynamic lighting to improve framerate. You might even see a remake or two of classics like Imago make a return. Stay tuned.

FILE SHARE 2.0
We're also happy to announce the return of file shares! Due to an unforeseen bug, we've developed a steady workaround, simply requiring you to use a new, patented Composer Cable to upload your files to Halo 3. They are available for $179.99 on the Halo Waypoint store.

We hope you guys are happy with our progress and thank you for your cooperation every step of the way! By the way, "SLRP SLRP." Get it? LOL!

Over a week ago, I brought up the issue of player's modifying their profiles to allow headless Spartans in matchmaking. This created an unfair advantage where player's didn't have a hitbox where their head would be, among numerous other problems. I posted an image of a player's character model that showed this modification both on GAF as well as Waypoint.

This was the image:

Over a week later, where the thread I created had been buried extensively and wasn't affecting anyone whatsoever, I received the following message via Waypoint PM from a moderator:

lolwut. The intentions of the post wasn't to call out an individual. It was to bring attention to a severe problem that player's have been facing. I have over 6,500 posts on Waypoint, personally know most of the moderators and active members, and I'm plenty familiar with the forum rules and regulations. Waypoint just finds new and exciting ways to blow my fucking mind with questionable (for lack of a better word) actions.

stop calling out the 343i halo 4 premium crimson elite members for using the headless spartan perk that comes with every annual membership

First they let people get the maps for free (for 10 days) and now they ban them, because of an "unlicensed" download?

That's a joke, right?

The whole DLC thing is a joke.

They just patched the iOS version.
Was just driving on the sidewalk to the song "automatic". Good stuff!!
I actually haven't tried it on iOS yet. Still rocking it on the original Xbox

The best GTA.

I'm up to the Diaz missions myself, great to revisit the place again.
Yeaaap! I spent soo much time in the game as a kid. Game still hasn't lost its spark all these years later. It's just crazy stupid fun (which I might add GTA IV was missing)

No joke, it LITERALLY just happened to my roommate.

Waypoint is terrible. I think the more important question though is why do you have 6500 posts there? Thats even terriblerer.
In the early days of Waypoint (pre-Beta/Beta/Gamma forums timeframe), the community was awesome. Decently small, great conversations, it was like you were sitting around a giant dinner table talking to your friends. I made a ton of real-life friends because of it.

However, ~6,000 of those posts were before Halo 4's announcement. That's when the Waypoint community started to deteriorate.

Oh wow, that sucks. I hope I don't get banned... I bought the LE, but I'm not sure I got the map pack for free because of that or because of the Specialisation code I entered by mistake

I miss the beta-forums. People were much more civilised then... Most of my ~2500 posts are from then too I think.
