Shoutout to heckfu and kylej and all you other grown-up losers that are making actual life decisions.

Just made one of my own: I'm just about to buy a puppy. Can't decide between a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix or a German Shepherd/Wolfdog mix. I have until tomorrow afternoon to decide!
Pics of pupperz or bust.

If it's not a rescue/adoption, then you're a horrible person.

No pressure.

Surprisingly, the mother of the GS/Wolfdog mix was a rescue from a previous abusive owner, and the mother of the GS/GR mix is also a rescue. Both had litters of puppies with their respective breeders, however the two puppies I'm looking at aren't rescued or adopted. I also had three rescue dogs and volunteered at the local Humane Shelter during my childhood.

I'M A GOOD PERSON MAN.

I don't have any pics of the actual puppies I'm looking at (although I'll be able to do that tomorrow), however these are the best lookalikes via Google Images:

GS/Wolfdog hybrid:

Color's actually pretty spot on. Brown's a little darker and the eye's are light blue. Pointed ears.

GS/GR mix:

Best lookalike I can find. Underbelly is blonde, the rest is black with solid black eyes. Breeder told me the ears would remain floppy into adulthood.

Not sure what I'm going to end up with... Leaning towards the Wolfdog hybrid, but I'm a little cautious.

That might be a stretch, you are a Florida State fan.

I'm in agreement with the game feeling rushed, which ties into my building a studio comment. That's why I hope they have the studio aspect nailed down now, and can utilize everything going forward.

That's just another scapegoat. How many times are we going to give them a free pass because the game "felt rushed." Rushing a game doesn't excuse fundamentally poor design. The game being a lackluster mess of poor ideas and conflicting design isn't because they didn't have enough time, it's because they had no direction and no one seems to have any insight into why Halo actually used to work.

I'm not giving a pass, I'm just telling how I think it is. I still have a lot of fun with the game, however, which is different from most of HaloGaf.

I hope it cost 343 the $40,000 patch fee to restrict crimson to paying customers only.

Being that 343 is MS, I doubt it cost anything.

Halo 1 was rushed.

You have a point.

Wolfdog's a little temperamental, but extremely protective. Golden Shepherd's very loyal with a very, very calm stature. I'm thinking about going with the wolfdog, but it's going to take a lot of training and discipline to get him to a point that would come naturally with the Golden Shepherd.
Ah, so it comes down to whether you'd have the time. Let us know what you decide then.

Time's not necessarily the issue. I'm a bit worried that if I go with the wolfdog it's instinctual temperamental-ness might cause problems down the road, i.e. if I have friend's over, if I have kid's one day, take on another dog, etc. But in a way you're right, it all boils down how much time and effort you put into instilling the right amount of discipline.

Added fact: the GS/GR mix is a pure half and half. Mother was a purebred Shepherd and the father was a purebred Retriever (or the other way around). The wolfdog is 1/4 wolf.

Probably gonna go with the wolfdog. I mean, it's a fucking WOLFDOG (and it's cheaper!).

WHAT THE FUCK
Holy poop! I totally declined your friend request on accident. Also, FSU athletics are the most disappointing thing since frozen yogurt.

Go Direwolf.

No shit, I wanted a wolf hybrid initially because of GoT!

Karl, not to defend 343 (I agree things seemed the game is rushed, or I almost hope that's the cause for its problems), the definition of alpha state likely differs between the studios.

We've gone from Raptors to Porn Stars to Puppies. The HaloGaf cycle is complete.
Best Halo OT yet.

The bolded, seriously.

My theory is that they were just finishing up the concepting portion of Halo 4 around then. That's why we got a concept art trailer with music that doesn't appear anywhere in the game or the soundtrack.

Armour plays during the second-to-last room on Shutdown and was a bonus track along with To Galaxy (Extended) and Foreshadow on the regular OST. It's a little different, but the order musically for the concept art trailer goes:

Armour (beep boop bops, ends at trumpet) --> Revival (the "digital bwongs" turned into the ones we hear at the E3 2012 trailer) --> Green and Blue (the last four notes get their own song)

random rocket ordnance spawned right next to me at the end of the game where we were down by five. too bad my teammates just ran out and died multiple times :(

Anything with German Shepherd in it is obvious win. The Wolfdog combo will probably be hard to train, and will need more to do and more exercise to keep its mind and body busy.

Both are good choices, but also keep in mind that you can tell people your dog is part motherfucking wolf, which would be insanely badass. Also, favor with WolfGAF can do great things for you on GAF.

lol perfect

Heres my guys. Well sadly we lost Cinny, Cinnamon, had to be put down about three months ago he developed lymphoma, it happened very quickly and he had to deal with little pain so I'm thankful for that at least, but I still miss him every day he was 12 years old (human) wish we would have had more time with him. He was my first dog. Daschaund supremacy. The bigger guy thats Bandit! hes our new addition Hes a Germand Shepard Beagle mix. Really fun to play with and walk and he's still amused at every little thing, hes 2 now (human years)

Would really like to get a Golden to be his buddy but then I always see weiners and they are absolutely adorable. So torn, so I'm still waiting. Huskies are on the list too.

I've got an old toy poodle. He's kind of an asshole but he's still pretty cool (when he's not being an asshole). He's at the vet right now or I'd post a picture. I think I have one of him around on my computer, I'll look for it.

My other dog was a total boss, he was some kind of poodle-lhasa apso mix. Dude was a straight-up motherfucking boss. I taught him how to spin when he wanted things, and he was really energetic but really stupid, and he loved being scratched and hugged and stuff. He was really chill when you wanted him to just sit down for a while and watch some TV or something but would immediately pop back up and play ball whenever. He's not around anymore.
