Hershey's Launches First New Brand in 30 Years:

The Hershey Company will launch their first new brand in 30 years with a new line of caramel soft cremes under the 'Lancaster" name.

The name and line are inspired by Hershey founder Milton Hershey's first candy company, The Lancaster Caramel Company. Of course, he ended up selling the company and got into the chocolate making business instead, which worked out pretty well.

The Lancaster brand was actually first launched earlier this year in China with plans to expand in 2014.

According to Hershey's: "Lancaster Soft Cremes will offer a long-lasting and unique taste experience that is distinct from the typical caramels that dominate the category." (Off the top of my head, Kraft and Brach's are the only brands of caramel that come to mind.)

Lancaster Soft Cremes will launch nationwide here in the US in three flavors: Caramel; Vanilla and Caramel; and Vanilla and Raspberry.

They will come in 8-ounce bags with a suggested retail price of $3.99 and 4-ounce bags with a suggested retail price of $2.49

Like the Butterfinger Peanut Butter cups set to launch by rival Nestle, the new line won't arrive until January 2014.

They will both be miiiiiiiiiiiiiine.

edit: Every Werther's I've ever had in my life was probably 5 years old, hard as shit, and came from the bottom of my grandma's purse. So no not Werther's.

Are we all just supposed to pretend like Tastations never existed?

Has the Hershey brand on it, so I don't think it counts since we've seen a lot of new candies from Hershey's in the last 30 years.

I'm not sure what Butterfinger bites are supposed to be like. Just like those little bites candies you can get at the movies, but in cup form?
