I'm sure Kamiya knows who he is. The Japanese gamedev industry is a small world, and he has to know From Software at the bare minimum.
But Dark Souls is one of his "asked too often, makes him angry" questions. If you follow his "link to the last time he linked it" trail of responses, it dead ends at "Do you like Dark Souls? Never played it."
Asking if he would work with the director is a twist on the forbidden Dark Souls question. He doesn't block for that, he trolls.
