I honestly expected the story would be a phoned-in endeavor, a serviceable plot that takes itself way more seriously than can be believed to spin the action of the game into motion.

But the voice acting and script and narrative are all actually quite well done. I have empathy for Aloy's situation.

The controls are great.

The HUD is a little crowded (and very useful) but you can COMPLETELY customize it so that is awesome.

I love this world. It's well thought out and the graphics are Uncharted 4 caliber in nearly everything except the facial animations.

Really can't wait to play this game, but I honestly think you should finish the game before posting any impression as most of us can not bear nor contain the excitement from your snippet of impressions.

The early part of this game kinda feels like a fully realized vision of the small section of TLOU where you play as Ellie hunting the deer and exploring a beautiful natural world. I'm loving it. Except you're more agile, equipped, and you have a lot you can do in the world.

The game reminds me a lot of Red Dead Redemption right now.

To me, a review is an impression. It's just a person's detailed impressions of the game.

Even if you don't consider an impression as a review, wouldn't an impression of the whole game makes much more sense than an impression of just part of the game?

That's what reviews are for. Impressions are fun to get initial thoughts and experiences as you're playing them rather than waiting and hearing what you thought overall at the end.

Ok. Fair enough. I guess I just don't have the patient to wait any longer to play the game. Or maybe I'm envious of all the members out there with early copy of the game!

That part of TLOU was honestly one of my standout gaming highlights of the last five years. Fuck.

Copies out in the wild in the USA if you know where to look. I don't have a PS4 Pro at the moment or else I'd have paid the scalpers who just offered me an overnight copy for 120 (gulp)

This game is sounding great. I can't wait for my collectors edition to arrive. Those screenshots look amazing. This game I feel will really show the Ps4 pro's potential. I can't wait to see it on my Ks8000 with hdr.

On Friday last week however I was surprised to see that my pre-order was no longer listed there or in the web store, it was also no longer showing in my Purchase History online. It was almost as if it had been cancelled but no refund had been issued.

I did also pre-order Torment: Tides of Numenera pre-ordered at about the same time and that is still exactly as it should be.

I was slightly concerned so I contacted @AskPS_UK on Twitter and after a couple of messages I was invited to a Live Chat via a link the sent me. I spoke to somebody who was perfect with me and confirmed that it was still showing on their system that it was pre-ordered and that it may well be fine by launch but she dirndl want to chance. She asked for screenshots of the Store page where it was asking me to pay again, Purchase History, etc and stated that it was really strange as she'd never seen anything like it before but she would escalate it for me.

Today I received this email from the last that I'd spoken to, as follows.

Sooooo, I'm hoping that's the end of the issues I've had with it. Slightly concerning at first but they have three weeks to fix it as it's not out until 1st March here.

You may want to check you're own pre-order and if they don't sort it out in "the next few" days then I'd recommend doing what I did. You may want to contact them before then if you are having the same issue.

I'll quote myself and update this when anything changes in relation to the pre-order. I thought it was worth mentioning as there may be other people with the same problem.

Out of interest, the pre-order didm't have the auto download option selected as pre-orders usually, so you may want to select that yourself.

I also have everything working fine now, the game appears on my library and is ready for pre-load. Glad everything worked fine and I didn't have to bother with support.
