My girlfriend doesn't drive and it is definitely the worst thing. If you live/work in or near a city though, then I don't see it as necessary.
39, don't drive. Don't know how to drive. Don't let it bother you. It's great. I spend about $1,000 bucks on Uber and maybe $200 on the city bus, a year. I've saved thousands of dollars over the years. Anyone making you feel bad about it is ridiculous.
Gonna agree on the last part. I absolutely loathe to drive and all, but if it's an absolute emergency, I can get someone to a hospital or that kind of stuff. Not being able to drive my mom a few years ago and having to wait until an ambulance arrived because of a health scare she had is something I will never, ever forgive myself. If you live in a big city with good public transportation it's not a big deal, but when you are on a more rural area it's really important to drive. You should really force yourself to learn, otherwise you are handicapping yourself and you are forcing yourself to count on others even for the most trivial stuff
Think of all the money you can save. Think of your contribution to a greener planet. You're doing the right thing.
Isn't it generally better to call an ambulance in an emergency rather than drive? The ambulance can get to you faster than you'll Be able to get to a hospital. Furthermore ambulance come stocked with medical professionals and life saving technologies, stuff I assume your vehicle does not have.Gonna agree on the last part. Driving is actually very stressful, so be glad you don't have to deal with it.
I understand your point completely. Thing is, my mom was still able to move when she was taken to ER, which isn't really far from here, then she got worse and was moved to a hospital.Isn't it generally better to call an ambulance in an emergency rather than drive? Dude I'm 30 and I'm not in the middle of getting my license...
In my experience girls like guys that drive. It's definitely a social achievement. Like having your own place.
