Injustice 2's graphics and production values (both on console and mobile) seem insane

Tekken 7 will destroy Injustice 2, it has all the single player content scrub wants (better animation, art style, music) and it will be competitive for pro players unlike Netherrealm games which will die in one year like MKX.
Ok bro, keep riding this train of salt/hype/ whatever it is you're on.
I've been playing fighting games competitively for almost a decade now. Single player content rules.
Agreed. While I love playing competitively, there's very few things more relaxing to me than chilling in single player modes for fighting games.

It's one of the reasons why I'm so excited for IJ2, I'll have something to play should anything happen to my internet or should I just not be in a online playing mood.

The improvement in chatacter models, especially faces is incredible. For example, look at Harley Quinn. The facial animation is superb and makes her look pretty convincing when showing emotion.

https://youtu.be/TF0_ZwI17-E
Probably some of the best facial animation I've seen aside from UC4.

*sigh* Can't we all just get along & not shit on each other's games?
Lol no, my game has no value if other games have comparable success. It's not enough that my game succeed, others should fail.

While the dude may be salty he's right about the competitive scenes around Neatherrealm games dying extremely fast.
Not gonna try to dispute that, NRS games tend to die competitively as soon as the next one comes out. MKX is gonna be a ghost town this weekend.

But I do think IJ2 is gonna have a very lively scene till that point, and the incredibly robust online with solid netcode is gonna help in that regard me thinks. Particularly in getting new blood into the scene.

The mobile version looks really good, but there are some cut animations and facial tech is pretty much just a frozen face, no real animation. I mean, it makes sense, the game isn't 20gb or some shit, it's a mobile game after all. But that said it does have really high production values. I just wish matches loaded faster. Even cutting the res/framerate with Samsung Game Tuner doesn't do much to help with it.

The capcom shitposts just keep evolving. This is going to outsell sfv and MvC. Enjoy your garbage netcode, late deadlines and no content outside of online. And the music in IJ2 is quite good, sorry if it isn't loud electronic beats for every character like other fighters.😏
Sales have nothing to do with it. FF and MCU movies make boatloads of more money than better films every year. Same thing happens with games.

But who knows? Maybe I2 will change all that

Don't see why most people care. You can find games on MKX on PC and PS4 (dunno about XB1), and it has better netcode than most fighters out there.

The number of people that care about the competitive scene are slim. If you care about fighters, you should want more to succeed. NRS success is only a good thing for the genre. The amount of effort and content in these games is staggering. That just shows what the competition needs to do to be successful, but it shows that success is possible.

Marvel

could never
People need to dial back the hostility a little tbh (both sides for and against), there's nothing wrong with disliking certain games or expressing your views in a thread but things are getting kinda weird and awkward these past few months.

Just be nice lol

One of the big things NRS needs to do to keep the game from dying is to cut back on the balance updates. They do them way to often and it doesn't allow a meta to form around the game.

It honestly doesn't matter to me. I hate the FGC and don't like watching tournaments anymore either.
But for some people their only experience from any of these games will be watching streams and tournaments.

Netherealm games:
-King of content
-Indifferent style
-Awkward gameplay

Street Fighter:
-Poor to nonexistant content
-Interesting style
-Fantastic gameplay

In my mind, the Ideal fighting game would be one with favorite and memorable characters like SF or DC, with Capcom's programmers responsible for gameplay mechanics and style and Netherrealm handling modes, extras, story, etc.
It would easily be the best fighter ever made.

They probably lost themselves some sales by showing us the junk versions of the character models before fixing it in the final version.

Makes me excited about the next MK though as long as they take a break on all the micro transactions crap.

Ed Boon is a treasure.

He's had a few subpar games but he's pretty reliably been turning out quality fighting games like clockwork for 25 years and never really taken a break. His level of consistency is insane. Enjoy it while it lasts.

100% true. I know that Injustice 2 will sell more that most fighters that's really isn't the point. I just don't like Netherrealm fighting games I played MK9 and MKX and injustice 2 hasn't really improved in the aspects I really care for.

Super Smash on Wii and Wii U are maybe the best selling fighting games on the market right now (sold much more than SFV), but SFV so far has more participants in evo 2017:

I wasn't talking about popularity or sales, I was just criticizing Injustice 2 and Netherrealm, but fanboys can't handle it.

Why does the number of tourney participants matter? This is a thread about production values in IJ2 on console and mobile.

There's certainly some fanboy shit going on, but it's not where you think.

No he just suck at making fighting games.

Not sure what the reason is, but the characters look "porny" to me.
Like costumes and actors you would see in these superhero spoof movies.

Maybe because everyone's face shape is generic. Even the Joker is "normal dude" material. No crazy nose etc.

Double post for different posts lol

It really make me laugh that you guys think I'm salty haha
I wonder why.

Injustice 2 has bad animation, bad art style, bad music and clunky gameplay. NetherRealm games has no charm really.

lol I don't really care what game sell more. Anyway, enjoy your single player content scrub.

I care about fighting games, but I don't care about sale figures genius.

Injustice 2 has amazing production values? lol no bad animation, art and music are part of production values.

tbh you seem more worked up about this than anyone. why does it upset you that this game is popular?

We got an FGC pro here. You really think your superior to people who buy fighting games for the single player?

I don't think so. NRS' competitive scene just moves to the next NRS title. It's never dead,

I'm not even gonna bother with this stupidity anymore.

Congrats on Tekken 7 coming out soon, I'll be playing online too when it comes out. Really excited for that game as well as IJ2.

why do the characters still do the thing where they get ko'd only to get back up and then fall back down to the ground? no amount of money will make NRS games look less stiff and not poorly animated.

I've seen them stay down and writhe in pain when they get KO'd by a Super.

But I haven't played the game yet, I only saw that in pre-release footage.

the stigma of "single player content is for scrubs" is 100% capcom apologist bullshit and couldn't be further from the truth. if you wanna drop $60 on a game that only has training mode and offline versus because that's all pro players need, be my guest, but being condescending towards others for expecting more out of a video game is ludicrous.
