I was thinking about options for both Sony and MS in their next generation of consoles, and I wondered if Sony would actually be able to move away from AMD if they wanted to keep Back Compatibility moving forward?
With the way Xbox games are developed, and the fact that every single Xbox game is also developed for other vendors cards and CPUs, wouldn't it be possible for them to change and still have BC?
The way the tech has been rolling out, Intel could well be a viable option for the next generation, and their GPUs do have some benefits. With improved drivers and another couple of generations to improve their GPUs even more, it could be an option.
intel also have CPU advantages over AMD.
The big question would be if Intel wanted to compete in the console market.
