Is there a consensus on who the best Bond is? Is it Daniel Craig?

Bond. Best Bond.

Disappointed by the lack of Dalton but pleased by the amount of love Brosnan is getting.

Sean Connery's troll job should get a few more as well.

Barry Nelson got robbed.

I personally don't feel Craig's ever had a great bond film.

Casino Royale came closest, but all the stuff at the end post-casino was terrible and seemed to go on forever. Skyfall had that bizarre pointless middle segment where the villain got himself captured for no good reason. Spectre & Quantum had no redeeming elements.

Connery easy had the best bond films on average. Dalton was the definitive bond for me thanks to his performance in License to Kill. Brosnan had one great film, but it was Goldeneye, which for me is probably the best bond film full stop.

I basically agree with this, and to me it makes Brosnan, Dalton and Connery competitive for the title of peak Bond, but Connery winning out due to his overall Bond career.

Legit shook that Brosnan is outvoting Dalton

It's always difficult to rank Brosnan, because I think his Goldeneye outing proved he could be an excellent Bond, but Goldeneye aside, the scripts were never there for him. Craig had at least two above average movies, both of Dalton's were above average, Connery had at least two above average movies; so there's the room to assess consistency. You can't really do that with Brosnan, you have to "What If" him into another hypothetical Bond movie.

Hopefully it will be Idris Eldba.

I'll say Connery. I think it could have been Craig if his other films were as good as Casino Royale. I was disappointed in QoS and Spectre. Skyfall was solid.

Craig has been a piss poor Bond that has had the benefit of being in some of the better Bond films (CR, Skyfall).

It's either Brosnan or Connery. I lean towards Brosnan simply because I grew up on him.

I'm honestly not sure, but I've changed from the 'no way' to 'needs to happen' train for Idris Elba to be the next Bond after watching Luther, I think he would be fantastic.

Say what you like about the other actors, but I don't think any Bond actor has had lower lowers during his tenure than Roger Moore.

I'd rather treat Everything or Nothing as a good Bond film that just happens to be a video game.

Kananga Balloon vs Pigeon Doubletake.

Clown bond was a bit awful but it was in service of a fairly ok movie. He did star in some turds though.

The best thing about this moment in the film is that someone didn't think it was dumb enough so they decided to optically zoom in onto the balloon in the editing room. It's a pretty good movie, but that ending is amazing for all the wrong reasons!

Brosnan was Bond when I watched my first Bond film Goldeneye. Was around the same time I was playing the N64 game as well and loved them both. Craig is a good Bond as well even if the cheesy campness is gone from the films now.

We need to genetically engineer the next Bond to have the face of Brosnan, the personality of Connery and the body of Craig. That would be the perfect Bond.

Connery. I have a soft spot for Brosnan but that's probably the nostalgia talking.

Craig was just a thug pretending to be Bond.

For the love of Broccoli, someone with Photoshop skills needs to make this happen. I...need to see this.

Oh, and to clarify, needs to have Brosnan's Goldeneye hair.

That's really the thing. Most of Brosnan's films weren't that great outside of Goldeneye. That film is so damn good I think it buys a LOT of goodwill. It proved he could be Bond. However regardless of how the other films were his Bond and Judi Dench's M were still very good. That's what allows me to watch those films from time to time I think. Also helps there were some decent Bond games with him during his run.

I'm going to go with either Dalton or Brosnan. Dalton had the best films, Brosnan felt like the best version of the character, but had some of the worst films outside of Goldeneye.

Craig is all muscle and no charm. I can't believe it's even close. The correct answer has the most votes at least. Whats wrong with you people

If Dalton had been given a few more films I feel like he'd be far and away the lead. Such a shame that rights issues ground the series to a halt for the better part of a decade and then he never came back.

Not only was Dalton's short tenure of higher quality, his role in Hot Fuzz was better than Brosnan's in World's End (and Hot Fuzz was a way better movie too).
I should finally watch The World's End. It's the only one from the trilogy I haven't seen. And I didn't knew Brosnan was in it.

Which poor soul saw "Casino Royale" and thought "Wow, David Niven REALLY went all in as Bond in this shitty comedy movie made to shit on Fleming's legacy!", and subsequently voted for him on this poll?

Quality aside, when I think James bond I see Pierce Brosnan in my head.

Pretty much. Either him or Connery.

Except it wasn't. Both of them were 80s action movies that happened to have Bond in them. One was basically a Miami Vice episode, and the other had a dude who threw lethal milk bottles.

I don't get how anyone can find Craig as the best Bond.

He's just kinda there he brings little to no personality to his performances and minus well just be generic dude #23556.
