Operation Ten-go will be such a disaster of an event as will Leyte Gulf.

edit. Down to 5 missing ships (Harukaze, Arashi, Yahagi, Sakawa, and Uranami).

Sakawa refuses to drop on O E5 easy and i'm out of bauxite and patience.

Winter should be a small. Hopefully not much salt by then. Maybe one of those operations will be there. That's a small list for a Kandex.

Got 2nd Harukaze from E2 boss node. I didn't even bother to collect Kamikaze ships but they appeared nonetheless. Yamakaze tho...
I'll just run a couple of sorties to E2 every day until the event ends. No more intense farming.

Yeah, I'm just doing E1 until I get the boss weekly done and then just call it an event. Would be nice to get an extra ducky, but not a big deal I guess.

Congrats :)
E-3 shouldn't be harder than E2 but it'll drain more buckets as it's a combined fleet. Try aiming for BEILQ route. Also boss node is combined fleet vs combined fleet. Boss support is recommended.

I've got the BEILQ route which is good. I keep getting the cat connection errors which is annoying, but I think I can do E-3 and get Teste which is the main thing.

EDIT: Cleared E-3!

I only managed to finish E-3 today as it was incredibly quiet at work, is it worth trying to rush down E-4/5 and use all my buckets, or should I save it for the inevitable mini event over Christmas timeish?

I'd say go for it. We'll have time before the Winter event to gather resources anyway. It also depends on what difficulty you want to clear E4/5 at. Word of warning though, E4 may or may not drain you of whatever sanity (and possibly buckets) you have left.

E4 is a stupid map, but E5 is easy if you have the LBAS bombers and fighters.
Very resource intensive though, but the flip side is that Saratoga is one of the best CVs in the game (like Iowa), so...

(Then again, this game has become more about gimmicks than powerful ships now.)

Saratoga also happens to be top tier waifu material.

As for the gimmicks becoming more important than ships and ship levels, it does make a bit sad that I can't exactly brute force event maps anymore.

I missed out on Iowa and still don't have Prinz. Now I have no idea whether or not to try and brute force E-5. I don't have any Type 3 planes so I can't get the extra range on the LBAS, so that might hurt me.

It's hard for me to say because I have everything (nuke ships, LBAS, etc) and easy was a cakewalk for me when I was grinding for drops. I think the hardest part will presumably be the perfect air defences more than anything else.

Like Taitei is somewhat necessary for this event, along with interceptors.

My friend (who has basically stopped playing for awhile now) has been attempting to do this event, but is struggling to clear maps. He basically has nothing in terms of equipment (especially LBAS planes) and it really shows. That and it doesn't help he hasn't leveled anything either.

I've farmed for her twice, never got her.

My issue was I always got messed around by RNG on all the events so never was able to get any of the better rewards >_>

Yeah, you could theoretically grind out Reppus to try to make up for the lack of Interceptors, but you're kind of stuck when it comes to the bombers.

It kind of sucks that she's on a bad map this time around as well. I don't know if anyone knew that she'd be so indispensable because of her planes. I'd almost want to try to get a second one now, just to be able to have 3 of them.

The funny thing is that last year, I would say that you could beat every map on easy if you have enough ships. Now though, it's so gear dependent that it's impossible to say.

Because of the new quests added before the event, I thought that they would add more emphasis on NBs and installation bosses this event. IE giving us fishing quests for the searchlights and the WG42. Suddenly, you better make sure you have enough LBAS planes otherwise you're going to be in for a fun ride.

Yeah, that's true. Although it was nice to take a break from having to gamble on your DDs doing major damage to an Installation boss... and maybe it was meant to help with 6-4.

Oh yeah. I forgot that map exists now. Still stuck on 6-1 with not a whole lot of motivation to clear that map.

One of the quests gives a free daihatsu I think. I just do it for the sake of having something new to do. I might even try 5-5 or 6-5 this time around since this event was relatively cheap resource-wise (at least compared to summer and spring).

Bit of a shame, but oh well.

E1 has the zukis and E3 has the event-only AVs I think?

E4 might be worth doing even on easy, but no reason to push with the event almost being over anyway.

E1 has two duckies which is worth farming and E3 has Akitsushima(taitei) and Mizuho.
E4 not worth clearing if you don't have intention to clear E5 as well. E5 is a RNG heavy map with base defense (I hate this) and getting perfect S at air raid node, not to mention having either Sakawa or Pudding is kind of essential.

I'd say go for Akitsushima if you still have bauxite, and just duckies if you're out of bauxite.

E3 having akatsushima means I should probably farm that as her scout planes seem super important.

Getting S Rank is going to be the hard part, but I guess if I just go full on support as well I should be fine.

EDIT: Do I need to S Rank to get Akatsushima? I've only S ranked once in like 6 runs and got Kaga.

She keeps surviving on like 8 health. Getting the debuff is too much effort though from here, I'm not really taking damage, just repairs so I'll keep going.

EDIT: Switched up Sendai's equips to give her more yasen gear and killed the boss, only got A rank but looks better moving forward.

edit: Finally got Amatsukaze! Just need sushi now.

Wow lucky. Last event, I aimed to get her, but scored another kamo before getting her, which is nice since she gave me 2nd taitei. Good luck hunting your last seaplane tender.

I'm fairly certain that he meant Akitsushima, a.k.a. Kamo, the Taitei-chan ship.

I've also tried to get the BB sushi, for last 2 post events, but failed. 50k F/A/S burned this event alone to get her but she just won't come. Poor hotel, no sister for her yet.

Edit: Welp... just debuffed E3 Boss. After ~100 E2 runs.

I never understood why Kiso looks so different than the others. lol

Also, all the Nendos look so good. I almost want to get the Iowa one.

Reading some of the horror stories, I think I'm okay with skipping out on a catapult.

Also I just tried E3H for fun because I forgot what it's like and it's impossible to S-rank without boss support. lol

I did about 100 runs with boss support every single time only to get about 35 s ranks on easy... I either missed one of the escort fleet and killed the boss or kill everything and boss would survive sub 20 health. So infuriating, but glad I made it.

Yay for a free "Type 2 Seaplane Fighter Kai". This plane really useful to get air power, but unfortunately no spotting.
Catalina is another choice but I already have one, in addition of two taitei-chan.

Also 4-5 didn't troll me too much this month. Cleared that map in 5 sorties. Thanks to Taihou and Crane sisters for pre-last dance and BBs + Kaga for last dance.

I won't be seeing fleet #4 for two days as they're going to fetch some plane parts for me.

BTW Kuma CG is quite nice.

EDIT: Got the jet :)
KC3 seems to hate the plane tho. API error or something. Hmm.. should I upgrade the Prototype Keiun to Jet Keiun Kai? I got the resources and screws and one extra engine.

70+ screws and an engine sacrificed...

Protip - after you get your super rare Shiun from the new years quest, remember to lock or you'll accidentally scrap it like me. :p
