Let's take a second to appreciate the final musical cue of Legend of Korra.

Not only is it a beautiful extended version of LoK's credits theme, but the last few notes that it ends on are the end-of-episode theme from A:tLA. Perfect.

So good it hurts! It's both sad and sweet, and for me it sets the perfect tone for the end of a franchise.

This post-hoc deifying of Mako is

it really is puzzling.

They only had so much time. Mako and Bolin have had strong friendships established with Korra since season 1. Nothing has indicated they've faded at all, as they've all been loyal to eachother throughout the series. We don't need constant reaffirmation because that's what loyalty is. We know their friendship is strong because they continue to fight for eachother and lay their lives on their line to protect eachother. I mean, every character could always use more development, but considering the time crunch Bryke was working under, I am very satisfied with everyone's sendoff.

All I know is, they barely spent any time together. *shrugs*

How you guys see that as close friends, or see the "team" as a strong team. I don't know. *shrugs*
