Definitely subscribing to this. Way too many female artists go under the radar anyway. Considering the rap genre in particular , it's important to hear as many women voices as possible.

LOL

Ain't nobody posted any Boss yet.

Boss - "Progress Of Elimination"

Boss - "Recipe Of A Hoe"

Boss "Deeper"

And one of my favorite hip hop duos and probably one of the best songs about an armed bank robbery.

Spice 1 feat Boss - "Don't Ring The Alarm (The Heist)

Oh shit, didn't know anyone else listened to Bo$$. I ran into her randomly on YouTube. She's aiight tho. I wouldn't defend her if somebody called her trash.
That chick in the fugees is fucking amazing, The Score is a masterpiece

I have to mention Amy True. She's only got one album out, and the lyrics are hit or miss, but she's the only female rapper I've listened to that clicked with me.

Falling Stars

I feel ya pain its got me thinking i can save you
cos from a very young age i had to be brave too
built up a barrier and never let nobody in
except for hustlers on road yea we were struggling
from broken homes all alone, but we had each other
committing crimes all the time, they were like my bothers
we would get high out our mind and talk that deep shit
so many scared life is hard when your a young kid
fun stealing cars, spitting bars, doing dumbness
have a laugh cussing mums on a bum tip
need to be part a suttn at home we felt like nuttn
i blame my parents for a while, i didn't want the violence
a child alone in silence, was scared to do shit
listening to the cries of my mother and feeling useless
i had to prove this, see i ain't useless
Music is my life support come on lets move this

You Might Need

life is in your hands the futures coming quick,
recognise the light you have and use it for that suttn
sick
Change your minds, change your moods
Change the way you step and move
Always keep it flowing, steady growing
Aint got shit to prove
Never lose.
Only gaining knowledge from experience
reflections from another side, dimensions of this time and space
Reactions of the traumatised tryna live a normal life
Normal like a single mum who sniffs and fucks a million guys
Normal like my house mate smoking crack and sets his room on fire
Never been a liar my desire set our sites higher

(excuse the janky spelling, I couldn't find the lyrics anywhere else)

I hope Jean Grae goes back to rapping. She released a bunch of silly shit and tried to sing, but I hope her verse on 1080p means she's going back to rapping.
Her album of tips for adult living or whatever it was called was fucking hilarious. Didn't think i'd listen to it more than once though so didn't buy.

I meant to check out Tish Hyman after seeing her on Sway a year or so ago:

But I never did.

Special mention: Azealea Banks who has shitloads of talent but squandered it.

Party Pooper
K.Flay has some really interesting stuff that's like a fusion of edm and indie rock and hip hop.

her recent stuff is veering into a lot less rapping, but every artist is gonna evolve I suppose.

she's seemingly constantly changing directions and sounds, which is why she left a major label deal, went indie for a bit, and then signed with a different one I guess.

SUGG SAVAGE

She's one of two member of a hip-hop group known as Akoko. Their style of rapping is very different from most out there in terms of instrumentals and I'm not quite sure how to describe it. Out of the two Sugg Savage is definitely the better of the two. Her flow, lyrics, and delivery outclass her partner Sloane Amelia in every way. Funny enough, she didn't start listening to rap until 2009 while she was in Catholic School. A Tribe Called Quest was her entry into the scene and I wouldn't be able to tell, but I guess that sort of explains their unorthodox songs. It looks like she might be going solo because she released some solo songs last year.

Recommended Track: Deadly Venom
Recommended Album: Cataraps
Nice, I'm checking out their bandcamp now. I'll probably buy some of their stuff.

For those that know Noname what was the name of her last project before Telefone, because I thought that one was called Telefone too, you know the one with "Hold Me Up" on it?
