I'm surprised that so many people are acting shocked by what people look like without makeup. As if you thought the "perfect" skin tone and long, thick eyelashes were natural?

The sooner you have a reality check, the better.

When I was in a relationship, over time I appreciated my ex more and more without makeup. She just wore a ton of it at the beginning, but over time went down to little or no foundation, and eye makeup half the time or less. It was really nice. Made the makeup seem more "novel" I guess, and less a part of her every-day identity.

Now I'm suddenly curious as to what certain men (actors, models, etc.) look like without makeup. Obviously it's not the exact same case, but there's still deception there.

But I think you are lying if you say you they look better without make-up. It's like comparing a super hot actress who is taking out the trash vs them in an evening gown on Oscar night.

Let's also not forget hair. Hair can do wonders for a women. And I suspect men, so get a hair cut, you hippie.

This isn't Oscar makeup, sorry. Most of the girls look trashy and fake with that style of makeup. They all end up with the same face. You came up with a couple of examples of girls who actually look good with makeup, but that wasn't the case with most of them.

Some of the ones that don't look great without makeup just need a bit of foundation, not the clown makeup that they end up wearing.

I don't usually come to these threads but HD has been both a blessing and curse. It keeps things honest now than it was in the past.

We have hair in many places it just isn't thick or long because that's what a lot of testosterone does.

Sure. The point I want to make is that "natural" make-up does make a women look better.

The same way wearing clothes that fit, smiling, and doing something with your hair.

Anyways...theres a huge difference between the make up a regular girl wears and a celeb. I know my sister in the mornings before her showers doesn't look that bad. She often goes without make up and still manages to look attractive.

Less free drinks at the bar. If she's in sales probably less. Possibly passed over for a promotion depending on the job and industry. There's a lot more to makeup in terms of presenting oneself than people realize.
