Okay guys, but am I really reading the DLC correctly???
Content that would've been on the actual cartridge had it been released on the DS.Love it. Wish every Nintendo game had a season pass. Cannot get enough content.

£27 if you look around online, and here's hoping the Season Pass will be no more than £10...
Yes, it's $30.

Or content that wouldn't have existed at all.
Nintendo season pass? Well that's a first. Makes me wonder if we'll see this (and DLC in general) for MK8 and Smash Bros. I'd certainly buy it.
And, like all other season passes, I won't get it day one. I'll see if I like this game enough. But that is some pretty extensive DLC for a Mario Golf game, I never would have expected it.
There seem to be people who like and dislike Season Passes.
I mean, once you buy it you have access to all the DLC, right? Or you can elect to buy the packs separately.
What makes Season Passes divisive? Is it something inherent, or is it more about exploitation by the companies involved?
Just curious. I've never really inquired about it before.

I would happily fork over cash for extra Mario Kart 8 tracks.
Just wait until the Mario Kart season pass announcement. Heads will explode.
There's obviously no way of knowing that, but the fact is this allows publishers to pull out content and sell it separately, and it's a shame to see Nintendo get it on it. I guess it was inevitable.Would it have, though? Or would the content simply not existed in the first place?

Honestly, I'd be all for it so long as ALL the content is worthwhile and help up to the correct standard. If it comes off as sincere rather than exploitative, then it's all good.Just wait until the Mario Kart season pass announcement. Heads will explode.
In this case (or every case?) it's just the choice to get ALL DLC for a discounted price. What the hell does season pass even mean? Is it similar to having season pass tickets for a team, then you pay for another season pass for the next season?
Regardless, i don't think i've ever paid for dlc.

I dont get this mentality. Up until an hour ago you were happy to buy a game that was COMPLETE at 10 courses with 120+ holes, but now DLC is announced that expands on this, the game somehow loses value?
I think it's meant more like a season of a TV show. What the hell does season pass even mean? Is it similar to having season pass tickets for a team, then you pay for another season pass for the next season?

This is like a time warp back to 2006. I love it.
Welp, now we have precedence going forward. Nintendo, whose current console install base sits at less than 6 million, pulls a move that not only alienates the customers that they already have, but also alienates new ones.
This is gonna bite them so hard in the ass...
