It's at the very bottom of the list with 22 points.

How does that compare other Image Epoch games like World Destruction, 7th Dragon and Arc Rise Fantasia? Is Fate/Extra on the list?

Schuelma keeps a backlog of Comgnet data here if you type Comgnet into the search box: http://nipponsalesage.blogspot.com/

Edit:

Correction, he actually links to a complete Comgnet archive found here: http://translate.google.com/transla.../homepage3.nifty.com/TAKU64/cong/&sl=ja&tl=en

Edit 2:

And looking at the daily rankings: http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http://www.comgnet.com/ranking/&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&sl=ja&tl=en

It would seem that Fate/Extra is at 107 points with the limited edition at 24 points.

Holy crap. Last Ranker is tracking way below World Destruction and 7th Dragon, and on the same level as Arc Rise Fantasia. Total bomba. Fate/Extra is going to rape it so hard in terms of sales. Crazy. MMV licensed animu crap with really bad trailers totally outselling a high production Capcom brand new JRPG with stellar staff. There is no justice.

To answer the rest of your questions, it would seem that the day before launch:

Sands of Destruction: 60 points
7th Dragon: 102 points
Arc Rise Fantasia: 33 points

Edit:

Whoops, seems you found them already. :lol

You act like Capcom hasn't exploited the Fate branding before. ;P Sad to see The Last Ranker bombing though, I hope for a surprise rise in sales sometime soon.

It is Comgnet though, Last Ranker is on PSP and Capcom is a much better publisher than MMV. Ghost Trick didn't appear at all before it came out.

1UP: One last question for the RPG fans out there. Any chance of seeing a new, current-gen Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter is one of my personal favorite RPGs ever, and I've been dying to see a follow-up or anything in the BOF universe that isn't a remake for DS. Gimme the scoop.

Keiji Inafune: There are currently no plans on making a new Breath of Fire game. Apart from that, regarding RPG titles, they are very popular in Japan, but only certain RPG titles sell so Capcom doesn't really need to even consider making these titles as an option. There's a low possibility that we'll be making one in the near future. But, I realize that there are fans of the series, and we have staff who are interested so it's not out of the question. We actually have a lot of titles in a similar situation, where there's an interest by users and our staff, but where we just don't have the resources. Square Enix and Namco Bandai have 1,200 development staff but we only have 600. There's a lot more that we want to do, titles that would probably sell well if we made them, but we just don't have enough staff.

Since we' ve lost all leaks is anyone else agree we start posting comgnet weekly report that comes out every Monday morning? Just the points it has, no attempt to extrapolate numbers from it. It gives a picture of the past week and after all many who follow Japanese sales take a look at it.

Capcom should have taken a lesson from SE and put a 1-time-use MHP3rd early access demo code in every new copy of Last Ranker. 97% would have been returned within the first 24 hours but they would've sold more than they ever would the way it's going now.

Comgnet was never a leak. It's their own data. No reason not to post it with the caveat you included there. :)

Didn't DQVII ship 4,15 million? I'm not saying it sold all of its shipment, but it should be at least over 4,05. Though NSMB will surpass that for sure as well in the coming months.

Not with the numbers we have. There must be many tens of thousands unsold brand new copies at the Japanese retailers.

Also some reports from Japanese gaffers confirm this. Used market killed the sales and when the title went budget, retailers got stuck with the shipment.

I think you're confusing DQVII with DQIX. DQIX got a press release from S-E when it shipped 4.15 million, and it said that was a new milestone for the series. Clearly there is no way DQVII could have shipped 4.15 million otherwise it would not be a new milestone for DQIX to have shipped that much.

DQVII came out in August 2000. By the end of December 2001, it had sold 3.892 million copies. It did not chart in the yearly charts ever again. Top300 for 2002 and 2003 end with about 30k sales on the 300th titles. Top500 for 2004 ends with about 16k. So even if DQVII was #301 in 2002 and 2003, and #501 in 2004 (all of this is very unlikely), it would not have sold 4 million copies.

No, he is right about shipments, but DQVII is massivelly overshipped. That number for DQVII was also confirmed by Wada but I can't find the article.

DQ VII shipped 4.11 million units in Japan ( although it should have sold less than 4 million ).

SMG should finally start outselling it this week (unless Wii Party pushes more Wii sales and thus more SMG2 sales
lol
). We'll see how its 161K lead holds up over the next five weeks. :)

Predictions
[NDS] Harvest Moon: Twin Villages (Marvelous Entertainment) - 69,000
[WII] Wii Party (Nintendo) - 115,000
[PS3] White Knight Chronicles: The Awaken of the Light & Darkness (SCE) - 157,000

Predictions
[NDS] Harvest Moon: Twin Villages (Marvelous Entertainment) - 60,000
[WII] Wii Party (Nintendo) - 119,000
[PS3] White Knight Chronicles: The Awaken of the Light & Darkness (SCE) - 130,000

Harvest moon is hard to read, wii party I really should put lower based on the data, but arashi can't make a a game sell that low!

Also entirely random, the lack of any 360 games on the chart this week, makes me think most of the buyers of the slim 360 were pre-existing users.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but Sony is releasing 160 GB and 320 GB PS3 slim models on July 27. Also a Classic White model will be released the same day. The older models will be discontinued with open pricing. Andriasang

If I got it right, azalyn says that sellthrough for Inazuma Eleven 3 nationwide is around 70% (first shipment was 920k). Can someone confirm it?

Yep, there isn't much of a difference in terms of nationwide sales.
